In the wake of the tragic flash floods in Hill Country on the Fourth of July, communities across the United States are mourning the loss of 89 lives, many of whom were children, with dozens still unaccounted for.
The devastation has particularly resonated with Houstonians, who are familiar with the catastrophic effects that severe weather events can impose.
From hurricanes to unexpected ice storms, Houston has seen its fair share of natural disasters.
However, it is the resilience of its citizens that stands out in these trying times.
Local restaurants and bars have once again stepped up, transforming their establishments into centers for relief efforts, whether that involves hosting fundraisers or serving as donation hubs.
While the outpouring of support is commendable, it is vital to remain vigilant against potential exploitative individuals who may attempt to take advantage of the generous spirit that often emerges during crises.
Past experiences have shown the importance of donating to verified charities and entities trusted by the community.
The following is a compilation of participating Houston restaurants and bars that are lending their support to the relief efforts.
If there are additional fundraisers or donation drives not covered, you can request inclusion by reaching out via email.
