New Dinner Experience ‘The Party’ Debuts at Cosmopolitan with Circus Acts and Italian Cuisine

The creators of Absinthe and Diner Ross have launched an exciting new venture called ‘The Party,’ which combines an exquisite Italian prix fixe menu with thrilling circus performances.

Debuting at the Cosmopolitan on Thursday, July 10, this unique experience offers guests an unforgettable evening filled with entertainment and delectable cuisine provided by neighboring Superfrico.

With a limited capacity of just 50 guests per night, ‘The Party’ is designed to celebrate any occasion, be it birthdays, weddings, or even divorces.

In late 2023, Spiegelworld, the company behind the new dinner experience, closed its OPM variety show, previously located in the theater next to Superfrico.

Founder Ross Mollison remarked that the concept of OPM never quite aligned with the Italian American dining experience at Superfrico, stating, “There was this restaurant that was Italian American, and then there was this crazy outer space show.”

When Superfrico took over the Rose Rabbit Lie space in 2021, it introduced guests to mouth-watering dishes such as chicken Parmesan and tableside hand-pulled mozzarella, all while featuring roving circus performers.

This new venture is an innovative take on dinner theater, pairing exceptional dining with engaging performances. Mollison noted, “I’ve always had the feeling that Vegas didn’t want dinner theater,” recalling his experiences with lengthy dinner-and-show marathons in Germany.

However, with the opening of a space near Superfrico, he reconsidered his stance, thinking, “Maybe I was wrong and Vegas is actually the perfect market to put entertainment together with dining.”

The Party features a carefully curated three-course menu from the Superfrico kitchen, which encompasses tantalizing appetizers such as tuna tartare and a salad complemented by Calabrian ranch dressing.

Main courses include seared mushroom gnocchi enhanced with black truffle or a succulent six-ounce prime filet served with roasted bone marrow sauce.

For dessert, guests can indulge in tiramisu or rice pudding topped with blueberry compote and lemon curd.

As guests savor their meals, they are treated to an array of classic circus acts, including acrobatic performances where one artist precariously balances atop another.

The lineup also features unexpected acts such as Denis Lock’s mesmerizing soap bubble performance, which transformed bubble-blowing into a theatrical spectacle.

Mollison shared, “It’s my favorite in the world,” referencing Lock’s hypnotic ten-minute act that was deemed too lengthy for the pacing of OPM.

In the context of ‘The Party,’ he believes it shines, adding a glorious touch to the festivities. Another audience favorite is the return of the Circus Automaton, a whimsical creation showcasing intricate two-dimensional circus scenes that dance and rotate on a tabletop stage.

Though the supper club idea isn’t entirely new to Las Vegas, with establishments like Delilah and Mayfair Supper Club already blending dining with live performances, ‘The Party’ elevates the experience.

Adding a defined call time, exceptional talent, and a kitchen that produces exquisite gnocchi ensures that this event is a genuine reason to celebrate.

‘The Party’ takes place from 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, and the two-hour experience is priced at $150 per person.

Tickets are available for purchase online, inviting guests to indulge in a memorable night of culinary delight and captivating entertainment.
