The highly anticipated Taste of Chicago festival is making its return to Grant Park, set to enchant attendees from September 5 to September 7.
Operating from noon to 9 p.m. each day, the festival promises an exhilarating blend of music, food, and dance, celebrating the rich cultural tapestry of Chicago.
Admission to the festival is free, allowing guests to explore a diverse range of vendors, food trucks, and engaging entertainment, including dance lessons and live music performances.
For music lovers, the festival will feature two stages: the Taste Main Stage and the Goose Island Stage.
Headlining the event on Friday will be the Chicago-born rapper Lupe Fiasco, accompanied by fellow performers Terry Hunter and DJ Mike P, who will keep the beats flowing throughout the evening.
Saturday’s entertainment will be led by JoJo, with a special performance by The O’My’s.
On Sunday, attendees can look forward to a lively set by Puerto Rican superstar Elvis Crespo, adding a festive flair to the concluding day of the festival.
In addition to these headliners, each day will showcase Chicago Made artists or groups performing on the main stage, although specifics about these sets are yet to be revealed.
Additional performers, including a Sunday artist and DJs for Saturday and Sunday, are also forthcoming.

Food is at the heart of the Taste of Chicago festival, renowned for its vibrant collection of local vendors and food trucks.
This year will see 45 vendor booths and 17 food trucks, including 10 new booths and two fresh food truck options that will tantalize taste buds throughout the event.
Among the participating vendors are well-loved local establishments such as African Food Palace, Connie’s Pizza, and Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, to name a few from the extensive list.
Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to bite into favorites like Harold’s Chicken, The Original Rainbow Cone, and sweet treats from places like T&J Food Services and Ms Tittle’s Cupcakes.
The variety is sure to cater to all palates, as food trucks and booths will serve an array of delicious dishes emblematic of Chicago’s culinary culture.
In addition to culinary delights, the festival also embraces the spirit of dance through its SummerDance schedule, offering free classes for various dance styles each day.
On Friday, the day will kick off with line dancing at noon, followed by salsa at 1 p.m. and dabke at 2 p.m.
Footwork lessons will take place at 3 p.m., allowing attendees to immerse themselves in Chicago’s dance scene.
Saturday’s schedule includes a special celebration for Eli’s Cheesecake at noon, with subsequent lessons in cumbia, swing, disco, and more throughout the day.
The dance festivities continue Sunday with engaging lessons such as salsa and line dancing, inviting Chicagoans and visitors alike to participate.
This year’s festival not only promises a sensory feast of flavors and rhythms but aims to foster community and celebrate the city’s rich heritage in a lively, inclusive environment.
