Monique Ambruosi, an Australian drag racer, has officially received her U.S. visa, clearing the way for her to chase her dreams in America’s professional drag racing scene.
After a challenging six months of paperwork, setbacks, and emotional ups and downs, Ambruosi is ready to take her racing career to the next level.
Her approval brought overwhelming relief, prompting tears of joy as she expressed how this moment validated her years of hard work and sacrifices.
“It felt like a ton of bricks had been lifted from my shoulders. I genuinely cried,” Ambruosi shared.
“After everything, it feels like a chapter I have dreamed of my whole life is officially beginning.”
Ambruosi’s journey in motorsports is deeply rooted and began with her father, Robert Ambruosi, a Top Alcohol Funny Car racer.
From an early age, she frequented the starting line, learning the ins and outs of racing and eventually working her way up in Ambruosi Racing.
She started by servicing cylinder heads at their shop and managing bottom end duties at the track.
Over time, she expanded her involvement in the sport, including time spent in welding, fabrication, and marketing.
Ambruosi’s passion reignited when she returned to the driver’s seat of a Comp dragster in 2019.
