Cyclists Threaten Legal Action Against NYC Mayor Over Bike Lane Removal

Cyclists and advocates for safer streets are gearing up for legal action against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, pledging to sue the city if any injuries or fatalities occur on Bedford Avenue following the planned removal of protected bike lanes.

This pledge, which has gathered over 200 signatures, serves as a warning to the city that individuals will seek accountability for any preventable harm.

Transportation Alternatives, along with various activists, sent this pledge to City Hall, signaling a strong stance against the mayor’s decision to dismantle three blocks of protected bike lanes on Bedford Avenue.
