President Donald Trump has publicly denied any intentions to undermine Elon Musk’s companies by targeting their government subsidies.
In a statement on Truth Social, Trump responded to ongoing speculation that he plans to strip Musk’s business ventures of financial support from the U.S. government.
“Everyone is stating that I will destroy Elon’s companies by taking away some, if not all, of the large scale subsidies he receives from the U.S. Government,” Trump wrote.
“This is not so! I want Elon, and all businesses within our Country, to THRIVE, in fact, THRIVE like never before!”
He continued, emphasizing that the success of businesses like Musk’s ultimately benefits the United States as a whole.
