Carnival Cruise Line Unveils Comprehensive 2027 Alaska Itinerary Schedule

Carnival Cruise Line has announced its extensive schedule for the 2027 Alaska sailing season, striking a balance between immersing guests in Alaska’s remarkable landscapes and delivering the fun Carnival Cruise Line is renowned for.

With Carnival Spirit and Carnival Legend homeporting in Seattle, along with Carnival Luminosa departing from San Francisco, guests can choose from more than 50 itineraries throughout the summer.

Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, commented on the popularity of Alaska voyages, stating, “At Carnival, our three-ship deployment continues to serve up the perfect blend of the Alaskan landscape’s breathtaking natural beauty and our signature Carnival fun. Cruising is truly the best way to see Alaska, which is why these itineraries remain extremely popular each year.”

Carnival Luminosa will embark on a 23-day Transpacific Journeys voyage on April 6, 2027, as it repositioned from Sydney to San Francisco.

The cruise includes stops in vibrant locales such as Suva (Fiji), Moorea, Papeete (French Polynesia), and Honolulu, offering guests an immersive experience spanning diverse cultures from the tropical beauty of Fiji to the volcanic allure of French Polynesia.

Beginning May 3, 2027, Carnival Luminosa will operate 10-day Alaska cruises, visiting Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, and Prince Rupert.

In addition, the ship will also feature several Baja Mexico cruises, providing a mix of four-day weekend getaways to Ensenada, which depart on Thursday and return on Monday, enhancing Carnival’s offerings from the West Coast.

The Carnival Journeys program will include a significant highlight as Carnival Legend transitions from Tampa to Seattle with a 16-day Panama Canal voyage set to take place on April 4, 2027.

This cruise marks Carnival’s first visit to Acapulco, Mexico since 2010, offering guests a chance to explore one of the country’s most iconic coastal cities characterized by its dramatic landscapes and vibrant culture.

The Panama Canal cruise includes stops in Cartagena and Santa Marta, Colombia, as well as Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and features a full transit of the Panama Canal.

Following its repositioning, Carnival Legend will commence its extensive Alaska season from Seattle on April 20, 2027.

This will include 22 week-long voyages to popular Alaskan ports like Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, and Victoria, British Columbia.

Additionally, on September 21, 2027, Carnival Legend will set sail on a 16-day Journeys Hawaii cruise that departs from Seattle and visits iconic Hawaiian destinations, including Honolulu, Hilo, Nawiliwili, Kahului, and Victoria, British Columbia.

Among the newly available sailings, Carnival Spirit will feature two back-to-back Carnival Journeys cruises.

The first journey is a nine-day Western Caribbean sailing from Mobile, departing on March 20, 2027, which includes stops at Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Montego Bay, and Isla Tropicale.

Following that, the ship will embark on a 16-day Panama Canal voyage that departs on March 29, 2027, featuring a full canal transit along with stops in Cartagena, Colombia; Cabo San Lucas; and Puntarenas, Costa Rica.

Carnival Spirit will also offer a unique 15-day Carnival Journeys voyage to Hawaii, leaving Seattle on April 14, 2027, allowing guests to visit all four major Hawaiian islands, alongside a stop in Victoria, British Columbia.

Additionally, on April 29, 2027, Carnival Spirit will start its first of 20 seven-day Alaska cruises from Seattle, visiting the most popular ports, including Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Tracy Arm Fjord, along with Victoria, British Columbia.

An added nine-day voyage will also include the port of Sitka, expanding the options for travelers eager to experience Alaska’s natural wonders.
