Florida Congressman Cory Mills Faces Serious Allegations Amid Ongoing Investigation

Cory Mills, a congressman representing part of North Central Florida, is currently facing allegations of threatening to share private sexual content of his former partner, Langston, after their separation.

The purported threats, which include nude images and videos of Langston, reportedly surfaced when she expressed her desire to end their relationship.

Law enforcement has been made aware of these allegations, and the investigation has been forwarded to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for further review.

A spokesperson for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) confirmed this detail to the Washington Examiner, although the FDLE has yet to respond to inquiries regarding the case.

According to Langston, Mills also made threats to harm other men in her life.

The last known communication from Mills to Langston occurred on June 12, during which he stated he hoped she would hold her ‘crown until the end,’ leaving the interpretation of ‘the end’ ambiguous.

In a statement made to the Washington Examiner, Mills alleged that the accusations against him were orchestrated by Langston’s attorney, Anthony Sabatini, who is also a Lake County commissioner.

Mills claimed that Sabatini is using the legal system to enact a political vendetta against him after Mills defeated Sabatini in the 2022 GOP primary.

Mills refuted claims that law enforcement had reached out to him regarding the allegations, further insisting that he has been unaware of any reports or complaints.

‘Anthony Sabatini is weaponizing the legal system to launch a political attack against the man who beat him in the primary,’ Mills remarked.

He expressed his commitment to cooperate fully to clear the situation, stating, ‘These claims are false and misrepresent the nature of my interactions. I have always conducted myself with integrity.’

Sabatini countered Mills’s statements by confirming that Langston had indeed filed a restraining order against him.

He further highlighted that he had alerted the Washington Examiner that Mills’s predicament is ‘far, far, far worse’ than the controversies surrounding former Republican New York Representative George Santos.

Sabatini accused Mills of more serious transgressions than mere exaggerations, pointing to allegations of Mills having a questionable military record.

Mills has faced scrutiny in the past; earlier this year, police were summoned to his Washington, D.C., residence following an assault allegation made by his girlfriend, Sarah Raviani.

Although both parties denied the claims and no charges were brought forth, the incident was indicative of Mills’s persistent challenges.

Additionally, Mills is currently under investigation by the House Ethics Committee due to alleged financial violations, and he faced eviction from his D.C. apartment in July, as well as ongoing accusations of stolen valor.

In light of the recent allegations, if found true, Mills could be violating the Take It Down Act, legislation restricting nonconsensual publication of intimate imagery.

Notably, Mills had voted for this bill earlier this year, with President Donald Trump signing it into law shortly thereafter.

While the Florida Republican Party has the authority to withdraw its support for Mills, the handling of this situation by House leadership remains uncertain, especially since Mills has not yet been charged with any crimes.

Sabatini mentioned that he would not pursue another primary challenge against Mills in 2026, instead opting to seek reelection as a Lake County commissioner in 2028.

As pertinent political players navigate this situation, it is unclear how these allegations will impact Mills’s standing and future in Congress.
