Plans for a Historic Site to Honor Benjamin Franklin in Philadelphia

For admirers of Benjamin Franklin and Revolutionary history, a visit to Franklin Court in Philadelphia is a must.

This site includes a museum, a printing shop, and a reconstructed building frame on the Market Street property where Franklin resided from 1763 until his death in 1790.

During his time there, Franklin played an instrumental role in drafting the Constitution and securing vital French support for the American Revolution.

Yet, many people may not be aware that much of Franklin’s groundbreaking work was done just a couple of blocks away, including publishing the Pennsylvania Gazette and Poor Richard’s Almanac, and co-founding the University of Pennsylvania.

Richard Armandi, a devoted Franklin enthusiast, emphasized the significance of this earlier location in Franklin’s life.
