India has sent a high-level delegation to the United States to engage in crucial trade negotiations and address new immigration policies enacted by President Donald Trump that could impact a large number of Indian skilled workers.
On Friday, President Trump announced an increase in the application fee for H-1B visa holders, which surged to $100,000 per applicant from previous fees that ranged between $2,000 to $5,000.
This visa is predominantly utilized by Indian skilled workers, with India accounting for approximately 70% of all H-1B visas issued.
