The day concluded with another shooting event at approximately 12:21 p.m. in the 3000 block of Nowitzki Way, where the crime scene was described as active with at least one person injured.
Meanwhile, in Fort Worth, police were also grappling with violence. On October 3, 2025, at around 4:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to a local restaurant in the 5100 block of Wichita St following a shooting in the parking lot. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult female deceased. Eyewitnesses recounted that the shooting stemmed from a vehicle accident. After an altercation over insurance information, a female involved in the incident drew a handgun and fired, fatally hitting the victim. The suspect fled but later called 911 and awaited officers at another location, where she was subsequently arrested with a firearm found in her vehicle.
Just hours later, at approximately 8:45 p.m., police responded to a shooting at a gas station in the 1400 block of Eastchase Pkwy. There, an adult male employee was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. Further investigation revealed that the suspect was in custody. After leaving the gas station, the suspect lived up to the terror by shooting into an occupied vehicle without any injuries reported. Officers later apprehended the suspect after he rammed through a metal gate attempting to enter a nearby home, where no residents were harmed.
The violence in Fort Worth continued into October 5, when at approximately 1:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Bledsoe Street at a venue known as Social LIV. Upon arrival, they found a deceased victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. Medical personnel had pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Additionally, five other victims were either transported by ambulance or self-transported to area hospitals, all reported to be in stable condition.
Homicide detectives are actively investigating the scene, which they described as an apparently unprovoked attack by unknown suspects who fled the scene immediately. As the investigation continues, there are currently no arrests, but the shooting is suspected to have gang connections.
This weekend highlighted the increasing violence faced by both cities, with numerous incidents leading to injuries and fatalities. As police departments in Dallas and Fort Worth work tirelessly to address these crimes and maintain public safety, community leaders are calling for greater measures to prevent such violence in the future. The investigations are ongoing, and both the Dallas Police and Fort Worth Police Department encourage anyone with information regarding these incidents to come forward.
