Origen餐厅将在Hillcrest开业,展示墨西哥美食的多样性

当地的饮食文化终于接受了墨西哥美食远不止于尽管强大的塔可。

这种多样性正是Origen希望在本周在Hillcrest开业时展示和传播的。

这是联合创始人Franco Mestre和Sebastian Berho之间的首次合作,他们之前推出了多个概念(如Kensington的Trattoria Da Sofia)。

“Origen在英语中意味着一切的开始,”Mestre解释说。

对于Mestre来说,他的家人来自墨西哥城(他的父亲曾帮助在圣地亚哥开了多家餐厅,包括备受喜爱的Candela’s),开一家重新定义人们对墨西哥美食看法的餐厅,是他长久以来的梦想。

主厨Tomás Fernández创造了一份简约的共享菜肴菜单,将每日更换。

期待许多新鲜的海鲜、调味的牛肋骨、一道以酸橙汁(leche de tigre)制作的秘鲁风味生鱼片,以及金枪鱼塔塔——所有菜肴都将用由瓜达拉哈拉的陶艺师制作的定制盘子盛装。

Brandon MacLyman(Noble Experiment, Trattoria Da Sofia)将负责饮品项目,专注于有机成分和自制的配料。

预计会有大约七款招牌鸡尾酒,以及来自世界各地的自然选项葡萄酒。

“它们有趣、时髦,与众不同且新鲜,”Mestre说道。

这个3000平方英尺的空间可容纳90位客人,室内设计展现了轻松的巴哈海滩氛围。

“很多的棕褐色、很多的米色,非常平静,” Mestre说道,他表示,自己和Berho受到前往该地区冲浪之旅以及在简单餐馆中享用新鲜海鲜的启发。

“那里当地人的艺术,以及在这些空间中创造的社区。

这太奇妙了……我们想要复制那里的某种氛围并将其带到这里。”

Origen将于3月2日(星期日)开业,并于每周二至周日的晚上5点到9点半提供晚餐服务,尽管Mestre表示,他们可能会在本周悄然软开业,以解决一些问题。

他希望凭借不断更换的菜单,能激励人们频频光顾。

Origen将于下个月在3831 Park Blvd, Hillcrest开门迎客。

此外,在La Jolla的Marisi将于3月11日举办一场特别活动,邀请米其林星级厨师进行一晚的Mexican-American料理。

届时,将有来自蒙特雷的米其林星厨Rodrigo Rivera-Rio和Chablé Yucatán的Luis Ronzón的精彩表演。
