As Easter approaches on April 20, 2023, many major retailers in Georgia are finalizing their plans for the holiday.
While some stores will be closed, several grocery stores and supermarkets are expected to remain open for at least part of the day.

The following retailers have confirmed their Easter hours:
Aldi will have all of its locations closed for Easter.
BJ’s Wholesale will keep its stores open, but customers should call ahead to confirm hours, as they may differ by location.
Costco, known for its member warehouse model, will also be closed on Easter.
Food Lion is set to open its stores with regular hours in Georgia.
Fresh Market will have stores open, but again, it’s recommended to call ahead to verify hours that may vary.
Lidl will operate on its regular schedule, providing consistent access to shoppers.
Kroger, one of the major grocery chains, will have most of its stores operational on Easter. Included in the Kroger family are various stores such as Baker’s, City Market, Dillons, Food 4 Less, Foods Co, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, Gerbes, Jay C Food Store, King Soopers, Kroger, Mariano’s, Metro Market, Pay-Less Super Markets, Pick’n Save, QFC, Ralphs, Ruler, and Smith’s Food and Drug.
Piggly Wiggly stores will close earlier than usual at 4 p.m. on Easter.
In contrast, Publix will have all of its locations closed on the holiday.
Sam’s Club will also close all member warehouse stores on Easter.

Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Family Dollar will be open, but like others, they may have varying hours by location.
Conversely, Hobby Lobby will not be open on Easter.
Home Depot will keep its doors open, but customers should call to confirm specific hours.
HomeGoods will not operate on Easter, and JCPenney will have most of its locations closed; a few may be open, so verification is suggested.
Lowe’s and Macy’s will both close all of their locations for the holiday, and all Michaels stores will also be closed.
