From theatrical performances to festive gatherings, here’s a roundup of low-cost and family-friendly activities taking place from April 18 to 20.

One of the must-see events is the ‘Concert in the Park’ at Lorenzi Park on Saturday evening.

This engaging performance offers a unique adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘The Comedy of Errors,’ transforming it into a lively 75-minute show featuring interactive storytelling, quick costume changes, puppetry, and dancing, making it a delightful experience for all ages.

The event is free and starts at 7 p.m. at the Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza.

Families looking for more spring-themed excitement can visit the Spring Carnival and Egg Hunt at Whitney Ranch Recreation Center in Henderson on Saturday, April 19.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., attendees can enjoy a variety of carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, and an opportunity for kids aged 1 to 17 to participate in egg hunts tailored to their age group.

Advance tickets are priced at $10, while door tickets are available for $15, granting entry to the exciting egg hunt activities.

Another lively option for family entertainment is the Free Family Spring Fling, Pet Paw Parade & Classic Car Show happening at Floyd Lamb Park on April 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event promises an enjoyable experience for pet lovers and families alike, featuring a parade for pets, a classic car showcase, arts and crafts fairs, food trucks, and exciting jump houses.

For dog owners, the ‘Dog Gone Spring Fun!’ event at Heritage Bark Park on the same day is a special treat.

From 10 a.m. to noon, dog parents can bring their furry friends to meet the Easter Bunny for photos, enjoy treats, take part in agility courses, and engage in various dog-friendly activities.

Registration fees start at $7 according to the City of Henderson’s website.

Golf enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Easter Golf Hunt at Par 3 Municipal Golf Course on Sunday, April 20.

Starting at 8 a.m., golfers and disc golfers of all ages can participate in this spring event that features prizes and music.

The registration fee is $15 per player, and spots are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

For those who appreciate delicious food from around the globe, the FoodieLand Food Festival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is taking place over the entire weekend.

This multicultural event showcases more than 230 vendors featuring diverse food selections, arts, crafts, and entertainment.

While attendees will need to budget extra for food, admission is just $10 per day with free entry for children aged 5 and under.

It’s important to note that tickets must be purchased online through Eventbrite, as there will be no ticket sales at the venue.

On Easter Sunday, families can enjoy an underwater adventure at the Heritage Park Aquatic Complex in Henderson with the ‘Egg Dive’ event.

Running from 1 to 5 p.m., this aquatic egg hunt allows children to race by age group to gather eggs for prizes and treats.

Open swim, arts and crafts, and snacks will also be available, with advance registration costing $5, while on-the-day fees will increase to $8.

Also on Easter Sunday, the BVP Egg-cellent Adventure invites families to Henderson’s Bird Viewing Preserve for a self-guided egg hunt.

Participants will receive a map and sticker set to mark off locations where eggs are found, with completed maps eligible for prizes in the Bird Preserve Gift Shop.

The registration cost is $5 per person.

Lastly, the community can participate in the free annual Pancake Breakfast and Egg Hunt at Clark County Fire Station 20 on Saturday, April 19.

From 9 a.m. to noon, pancakes will be served while supplies last, and the fire station will hold an open house featuring demonstrations, games, crafts, and raffles.

The egg hunt will be held outside the Bob Price Recreation Center from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with check-in commencing at 9:15 a.m. for the various age groups participating.

Families are encouraged to bring their own baskets for collecting eggs.
