New Karaoke Bar ‘Smelly Cat’ Set to Thrill Visitors in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is about to welcome a new entertainment hotspot with the opening of the Smelly Cat Karaoke Bar at the Grand Bazaar Shops in front of the Horseshoe Las Vegas.

Jonathan Fine, the founder of Fine Entertainment Management and a lifelong karaoke enthusiast, is bringing his vision to life with this 3,500-square-foot venue, a playful nod to Lisa Kudrow’s Phoebe Buffay and her memorable song on ‘Friends.’

Fine, who also owns popular spots like The Rockhouse bar and grill and AmeriCAN Beer & Cocktails, sees his latest venture as a convergence of music, community, and fun.

Each day begins with a father-daughter musical ritual as Fine drives his 6-year-old to school, transforming his Tesla into a live karaoke studio.

“Every morning I sing ‘karaoke’ with my daughter, who’s just learning how to read,” he shares, highlighting the educational aspect of their musical experience.

With framed portraits of whimsical felines and walls adorned with song lyrics, the decor of the Smelly Cat Karaoke Bar adds a quirky charm to the venue.

“I don’t think there’s a karaoke bar like this that I’ve seen,” Fine explains, emphasizing that his concept encourages participation among patrons rather than just private room rentals.

He reminisces about his proposal to his wife during a live karaoke session, showcasing his family’s bond with music and performance.

The bar, designed for live performances, features a spacious stage alongside an outdoor balcony, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests.

The idea is to blur the lines between a karaoke bar and a lively performance space.

Fine reflects on the challenges of launching a new project amid his ongoing ventures, deciding to embrace the opportunity when he saw the ideal location.

The venue is equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, allowing patrons to not only sing their hearts out but also enjoy sports games.

“Our concept is to be a karaoke bar that shows sports,” Fine elaborates, positioning Smelly Cat as a versatile venue with something for everyone.

With staff members who are entertainers by trade, the atmosphere is guaranteed to be energetic, ensuring that guests feel at ease while performing.

“If there’s six people in here, the bartender is still singing, the server is playing an instrument,” Fine notes, highlighting the hospitable and engaging environment they aim to create.

As the opening day approaches, excitement grows not just for the karaoke aspect but also for the unique cocktail menu featuring creatively named drinks.

“Girls Just Wanna Fun?” is a crowd favorite, with vodka as the main ingredient, echoing the playful spirit of the venue.

For those itching to take the stage, Fine’s bar is built to cater to a crowd eager to channel their inner rock star.

Las Vegas is no stranger to themed entertainment, and the Smelly Cat Karaoke Bar looks poised to add a fresh twist to the karaoke scene in the city.

Fine is enthusiastic about the potential this space has to attract both locals and tourists in search of a memorable night out.

In addition to the Smelly Cat Karaoke Bar, Las Vegas is home to numerous other karaoke venues, including Cat’s Meow, Champagne’s Cafe, and Dino’s Lounge, offering various atmospheres and experiences for singer wannabes.

For those who prefer a more private setting, there are options like Go Go Karaoke and Kamu Ultra Karaoke, featuring luxury suites for intimate gatherings.

With a plethora of choices available, the karaoke experience in Las Vegas is vibrant and eclectic, catering to diverse tastes and preferences.

As the Smelly Cat Karaoke Bar prepares for its grand opening, the anticipation builds for what promises to be a new favorite among Las Vegas entertainment options.

This venue not only offers a space for singing but also fosters a sense of community where everyone can partake in the joyous act of performance.

With its exciting concept and engaging environment, the Smelly Cat Karaoke Bar is set to create memorable moments for all who step inside.
