Oregon Gears Up for a Vibrant Pride Month in 2025

Pride Month is fast approaching, and communities across Oregon are preparing to celebrate with a variety of exciting events. From coastal towns to high deserts, there is something for everyone, whether you prefer a colorful parade, a family-friendly festival, an engaging cabaret, or an intimate open mic night. Throughout the state, events will take place from late May through September, offering numerous opportunities to honor and uplift the LGBTQIA+ community.

Kicking off the celebrations, Lincoln City will host early events starting with performances by Pat Magada and Sarah Adams at the Lincoln City Cultural Center on May 30. The venue is located at 540 N.E. Hwy 101, with tickets available for $15 in advance or $20 at the door. On June 7, the cultural center will hold a Queer-aoke and open mic night, where attendees can showcase their talents in singing, poetry, or performance art.

Lincoln City’s highlight event, PrideFest 2025, will take place on June 28 from noon to 5 p.m. This all-ages celebration promises a day filled with music, dance performances, a parade, an LGBTQ+ resource and vendor fair, food trucks, and art activities. Entry is free, promising an inclusive atmosphere for all attendees.

Further south, Lake Oswego’s second annual Pride celebration will feature live performances, inspiring speakers, and community engagement with Poison Waters as the MC. Slated for June 1 at Millennium Plaza Park, this event runs from noon to 4 p.m. and is free to attend.

In Beaverton, the Reser will honor Pride Month with a month-long exhibit titled “Legends of Drag: A Celebration of Drag Artistry,” which runs from June 5-29. This exhibition highlights Portland drag legends Darcelle XV and Poison Waters. Additionally, on June 18, Poison Waters will host “Friends of Dorothy: A Queer Cabaret” at the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts, showcasing local queer talent in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Beaverton will culminate its Pride events with the ninth annual Pride in the Park on June 29, featuring a hometown parade, live performances, local food vendors, and over 130 vendors dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community.

Over in Yachats, the theme for this year’s Pride is “Gays in Space.” Scheduled for June 6-8 at the Yachats Commons Building, the event will include live music, a trans tea party, drag bingo, a vendor market, and a picnic along with a puppy parade. Free to attend, it promises a weekend packed with fun and engagement.

Bend’s Pride celebration on June 7 will showcase a local food garden, live performances, and a Summer Pride 5K Trot, culminating in an afterparty at Silver Moon Brewing. The festivities run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and entry is free.

Hillsboro will hold its annual Pride Party on June 7 at Shute Park, with activities spanning from noon to 5 p.m. This bustling atmosphere will offer over 30 local vendors, food trucks, and lively performances, welcoming community members from all backgrounds.

In Monmouth, the “Monmouth Has Pride” event will embrace radical love and inclusion on June 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Held in Main Street Amphitheater Park, this family-friendly event will feature a lively parade and a marketplace with up to 50 vendors.

The Brookings Pride in the Park welcomes attendees on June 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Azalea Park, promoting a spirit of community and connection with local vendors and resource booths.

Hood River Pride is back for its second year with a weekend of fun scheduled for June 7-8, featuring a First Friday street fair, a parade, DIVA Drag Bingo for those aged 21 and older, and a spectacular Drag Brunch showcasing Portland’s top talent.

Meanwhile, Pendleton will kick off Pride events with a free BBQ in the community park on June 8, running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Later in the month, on June 21, the city will host a parade followed by a festival at the Heritage Station Museum, concluding with a community drag show and a professional performance in the evening.

Astoria Pride will mark its milestone 10th anniversary with a memorable weekend starting June 13. Events will include a vibrant Pride Pub Crawl, a festive Pride Parade, and family-friendly activities at the park, along with special performances at the Pride Gayla and Pride Brunch & Sip.

On June 21, Grants Pass Pride will also host a celebration focusing on community, performances, and connection at Rogue Community College, ensuring a lively atmosphere for all attendees.

The Portland Gay Pride Pageant, themed “Candy Land: Taste the Rainbow,” occurs on June 22, highlighting LGBTQ+ visibility and talent with exciting performances and themed looks. Following this, the SLANT Live Queer Storytelling will return to Mississippi Studios on June 26, featuring various artists sharing their stories.

Portland will celebrate Pride Weekend with a two-day Waterfront Festival starting July 19, showcasing vendors, live music, and community groups. The annual Pride Parade on July 20 will kick off at 11 a.m. from the North Park Blocks, culminating at the waterfront.

In Roseburg, the Umpqua Valley Rainbow Collective will hold its annual Pride parade on June 22 at 1 p.m., welcoming community members to join in the celebration.

The Dalles Pride will take place on June 28, beginning with a morning march through downtown, followed by festivities in Lewis and Clark Park throughout the day.

Eugene’s Pride celebration is set for June 28 at the Lane Events Center, featuring over 150 drag queens, musicians, dancers, poets, and more across two stages, complete with food, drinks, and family activities. It’s an unmissable event celebrating diversity in the heart of the community.

Medford will host an all-ages Pride celebration on June 28, featuring live music, performances, food trucks, and local vendors at Rogue X, offering attendees of all ages various activities.

Tigard’s Pride Parade and Festival on June 28 will include a celebration of LGBTQIA+ rights and culture, running from 2 to 4:30 p.m. with entertaining performances making the event inviting for families.

Prineville is set to host its fifth annual Prideville event on June 29, with an all-ages, alcohol-free celebration focused on community and literary arts featuring guest speaker Nico Lang.

Albany’s Pride Festival has been rescheduled to July 26 due to construction at Monteith Park, and details regarding vendor registration and permits are being finalized.

Falls City will celebrate Pride on August 2, promising a joyful community event filled with fun, details to be announced soon.

Oregon City Pride Festival will collaborate with the Cascadia Drag Festival later this fall to foster queer expression in the Pacific Northwest, with the event scheduled for September 6 at Clackamas Community College.

Newport’s annual Pride event is anticipated for mid-September, typically including a variety of events such as picnics, brunches, performances, and local fairs. Exact details are expected to be announced soon.

Finally, Salem will have its 47th annual Pride in the Park event on September 20 at Riverfront Park, hosting over 200 booths, food trucks, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
