Domingo Hindoyan, currently the chief conductor of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, is set to take over as the music director of Los Angeles Opera in July 2026.
He will replace James Conlon, who has held the position since 2006 and announced last year that he would step down in 2026.
Conlon will remain with LA Opera in the role of conductor laureate, contributing his invaluable experience to the organization as Hindoyan steps in.
