The second international break of the 2025 MLS season is upon us, and Atlanta United is sending a remarkable number of players abroad.
Twelve members of the club, including ten first team players, will represent their nations from June 2 to June 10. This marks the highest number of players sent by any MLS club during this window.
Unlike the previous international break, when Atlanta United was put to the test with eight first team absences during their match against FC Cincinnati on March 22, this time the team has no scheduled match. This respite allows the players to focus on international responsibilities without the worry of club matches interfering.
Most notably, Atlanta United’s international representatives are expected back in Atlanta well ahead of their June 12 clash with NYCFC in the Big Apple.
Among those heading out to represent their countries is Luis Abram, a key player for the Peru men’s national team. Abram receives his second call-up of the year and will participate in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers against Colombia and Ecuador. He last played a full 90 minutes for Peru in a match against Bolivia on March 21, bringing his total international appearances to 45.
The upcoming schedule for Abram is as follows:
– Friday, June 6 – Colombia vs Peru (TV: Fanatiz USA)
– Tuesday, June 10 – Peru vs Ecuador (TV: Fanatiz USA)
Miguel Almirón, Atlanta United’s star number 10, will also don his national colors for Paraguay, who are currently positioned fifth in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying standings. Paraguay is fighting for a top-six finish that would guarantee a spot in the World Cup, and they have challenging matches ahead against Uruguay and Brazil. Almirón recently contributed an assist in a 2-2 draw with Colombia on March 26.
Almirón’s matches are scheduled as follows:
– Thursday, June 5 – Paraguay vs Uruguay (TV: Fanatiz USA)
– Tuesday, June 10 – Brazil vs Paraguay (TV: ViX)
Atlanta United is also well-represented at the U-20 level, with Luke Brennan and Noah Cobb set to join the United States U-20 men’s national team for their two matches in Cairo. Brennan has made a notable impact with two goals in six appearances, while Cobb comes into the window with nine caps under his belt.
Their matches will take place on:
– Saturday, June 7 – United States vs Colombia
– Tuesday, June 10 – Egypt vs United States
Dominik Chong Qui and Braden Dunham will represent the United States U-18 men’s national team alongside Kaiden Moore, who is also from the Atlanta United 2 roster. All three players have a background in the Atlanta United academy system, and they recently competed in the UEFA Friendship Cup in Switzerland. They started strong by drawing against France 2-2 and winning on penalties, and they are set for additional fixtures against Argentina and Australia.
The U-18 matches are scheduled as follows:
– Wednesday, June 4 – United States vs Argentina
– Saturday, June 7 – United States vs Australia
Jay Fortune, representing Trinidad and Tobago, will be participating in CONCACAF FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers. He has made ten appearances for his country, including a goal against Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Gold Cup held on June 25, 2023. Fortune’s national team will face both Saint Kitts and Nevis and Costa Rica.
His schedule is:
– Friday, June 6 – Trinidad and Tobago vs Saint Kitts and Nevis

Lobjanidze’s matches will be:
– Thursday, June 5 – Georgia vs Faroe Islands (TV: FOX Sports Plus, ViX)
– Sunday, June 8 – Georgia vs Cape Verde (TV: FOX Sports Plus, ViX)
Lastly, Efraín Morales is set to join the Bolivia men’s national team, which has ambitions of securing a playoff spot for the World Cup.
