Portland’s culinary scene is buzzing with excitement as chef Vedran Jordan prepares to open his permanent restaurant, Alma, on Friday, June 13.
Jordan, who came to the United States as a 12-year-old refugee from Sarajevo, has had a remarkable culinary journey.
His experience includes working at notable establishments such as Bamboo Sushi, Gado Gado, and Tiffan’s with renowned chef Gregory Gourdet at Departures, culminating in the establishment of Alma as a tribute to his mother.
In the lead-up to the grand opening, Jordan has focused on building a talented team and ensuring the kitchen delivers an extraordinary dining experience.
“I feel extremely lucky to have the crew that I have,” he shared, expressing gratitude for his team’s dedication.
