Bar Convent Brooklyn (BCB) is making its much-anticipated return to New York this week, bringing together thousands of bar and beverage professionals from around the world.

Held at Industry City on Tuesday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 11, this seventh annual trade show will feature exhibitions, private tastings, and programming focused on both spirits and storytelling.

In celebration of the event, renowned bars in New York City are spotlighting international talent, with a week full of exciting bar takeovers planned.

The festivities kick off on Monday, June 9, with the Sip & Guzzle: City Takeover Series: Coast to Coast Edition.

This special one-night-only experience is being hosted at Sip & Guzzle, where six of the nation’s top cocktail bars will take the stage starting at 4 PM.

The first two hours will showcase Washington D.C.’s Service Bar and Allegory, followed by the Chicago-based bars Best Intentions and Kumiko, concluding with San Francisco’s Trick Dog and True Laurel.

This event is free to the public, with no reservations needed, making it an unmissable opportunity for cocktail enthusiasts.

Meanwhile, Time Out Market New York will also feature the Italicus Terrace Takeover.

Launching on June 9 and running until June 15, this pop-up on the rooftop will be centered around the Italian liqueur Italicus, which will create a vibrant atmosphere complete with branded merchandise and refreshing cocktails.

Patrons can expect delightful frozen concoctions such as frosé and passion fruit margaritas, as well as a unique chilled espresso martini made with Italicus bergamot liqueur.

In addition, boozy snow cones will be available, bringing the perfect summer vibe to visitors. Again, no reservations are necessary.

Romeo’s is set to host a lively Bacardi Block Party to kick off BCB, transforming St. Marks into a fun paradise with water guns and kiddie pools to help everyone beat the heat.

The Lower East Side bar will welcome San Diego’s Swan Bar at 6 PM and Arizona’s Killer Whale Sex Club at 8 PM to mix drinks and contribute to the festive atmosphere.

At The Bedford Stone Street, another noteworthy event is on the agenda with the Casa Dragones x Mexico’s Top Bars Pop-Up.

This pop-up, sponsored by Casa Dragones, will showcase several celebrated bars from Mexico, including San Miguel’s Bekeb and Mexico City’s Rayo, among others.

Scheduled from 8 PM until midnight, this unique gathering will feature talented bartenders from these renowned locations, but space is limited, so RSVPs are required.

Day two of the celebration, Tuesday, June 10, will feature a special iichiko Shochu x Katana Kitten After Party.

Katana Kitten will host a lineup of talent from around the world, starting with a takeover by Tokyo’s Quarter Room from 6 to 8 PM.

London’s Seed Library will take over from 8 to 10 PM, and finally, Side Hustle will close out the evening from 10 PM to midnight.

This event operates on a first-come, first-served basis, promising an exciting night of global cocktail innovation.

Additionally, Dante is celebrating its 110th anniversary with an exclusive event featuring American Bar from The Savoy in London as part of its Legends Series collaboration with Mastercard.

This extraordinary experience will explore the rich legacy of The Savoy’s cocktail culture, offering specialty cocktails and British-inspired cuisine, along with live jazz music.

Tickets for this event are available only to Mastercard cardholders and are priced at $150 per person.

The concluding night of the celebration, Wednesday, June 11, will present a special event at The Dead Rabbit with a focus on ‘Slow Drinks.’
