On June 14, participants can join the Juneteenth 4K Freedom Walk at 8:30 am, hosted by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center. The event, which charges $20 per walker, is accompanied by a free family festival featuring vendors, food, and live entertainment, marking the historic significance of Juneteenth.
Another special event is the Dallas Arts District Pride Block Party on June 20, scheduled from 6 pm to 11 pm at the Dallas Museum of Art. Film enthusiasts should mark their calendars for the 14th annual Oak Cliff Film Festival, which will be held from June 26 through 29 at the Texas Theatre. The festival is set to showcase 26 feature-length films, including 19 Texas premieres and two world premieres, alongside more than 60 short films. Following Wednesday Addams as she navigates life and love with a normal man and hosts his parents for dinner, the musical promises to delight audiences for the weekend.
