Exciting Arts and Culture Events in Atlanta This Weekend

This weekend, Atlanta is bustling with a variety of arts and culture events that cater to every interest. From exhibitions and performances to community celebrations, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Kicking off on Friday, art enthusiasts can visit the 7th Atlanta Printmakers Studio Print Biennial 2025, an international juried exhibition celebrating hand-pulled printmaking. Organized by the Atlanta Printmakers Studio, it will be hosted by Kai Lin Art in the Westside District from June 13 to July 11, with an opening reception scheduled for 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Another notable exhibition is “Soul Reflections: A Juneteenth Celebration Through Art & Lens,” presented by Buckhead Art & Company. It features works from photographer Parrish Lewis and artist Jeff Beckham, focusing on themes of identity and lived experiences within the Black community. The show opens from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on June 13.

Additionally, for music lovers, RenderFest will take place behind the AC Hotel Atlanta Downtown starting at 7 p.m. on June 13. This live music experience is part of the RenderATL tech conference and showcases performers from the Caribbean diaspora, including Wayne Wonder and Elephant Man.

Fans of indie rock should not miss Beabadoobee, who brings her The Space Between Tour to the Coca-Cola Roxy at 7:30 p.m. on June 13. Recognized for her unique sound, this Philippines-born British artist has opened for big names like Taylor Swift and The 1975, building a substantial fanbase over the years.

In Marietta, the Theatre in the Square is showcasing Emil Thomas’ thought-provoking two-person play about ex-lovers navigating their past amidst a crisis. This production will run until June 23, offering a poignant examination of relationships in challenging times.

Art lovers can also enjoy the Castleberry Hill 2nd Friday Art Stroll on June 13, which features a range of artists. Highlights include the opening of Shawn “Stu” Stewart’s “Edge Of Reality” at Old Rabbit Gallery and an installation exhibition by curator CRLZ. The stroll takes place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., promising a vibrant evening filled with art and community engagement.

On Saturday, the Juneteenth Atlanta Parade & Music Festival invites attendees to celebrate this significant occasion early, marking the emancipation of enslaved people in Texas in 1865. Scheduled for June 14 and 15, this festival will feature live music across two stages, craft vendors, food stalls, and a car show. The parade will begin near The King Center on Auburn Avenue, culminating at Piedmont Park.

In East Point, visitors can explore “Journey of the Spirit: The Multi-dimensional Artistry of Sean Haynes” at the ArtsXchange’s Jack Sinclair Gallery. This exhibition has been running since June 7, with an artist talk scheduled for July 19. The gallery will host an opening reception on June 14 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Meanwhile, Cat Eye Creative is hosting its fifth edition of “Summer in the City,” featuring an array of local artists. The group exhibition opens with a reception from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on June 14, showcasing both familiar and new talents from across the country.

For further entertainment this weekend, Georgia Ensemble Theatre presents a captivating rendition of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” running from June 12 through June 29. Theatre aficionados will appreciate this condensed, 90-minute version of the classic tale filled with humor and romance.

Art and craft enthusiasts can explore “Meat & Three” at South River Art Studios, where sculptural works by metal and wood artists Ryan Durrett and Collin Dubick will be on display. Opening on June 14 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the exhibition runs through June 20 and is inspired by the aesthetic and functionality of the beloved Southeastern meat-and-three restaurants.

Lastly, the Woodstock Summer Concert Series features free concerts, and on June 14, attendees can enjoy performances by the Gin Blossoms and the Josh Joplin Band at Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater starting at 7:30 p.m. This is just one of many upcoming shows in the series, which will also feature acts like 10,000 Maniacs and Josh Turner.
