The new restaurant Flamant has made its debut in Plano, Texas, drawing culinary inspiration from the vibrant flavors of Spain and Portugal.
Co-owners Tanner Agar and chef-owner Taylor Rause, who also run the experimental restaurant Rye in Dallas, took a new direction with Flamant by moving away from the small plates concept of their original establishment.
This transition was influenced by their desire to provide innovative dining experiences at the waterfront dining destination Boardwalk at Granite Park, an opportunity that arose when the venue approached them about opening a restaurant.
Interestingly, Agar’s personal connection to the culinary scene in Spain, where he worked at the Michelin-starred Simply Fosh in 2013, fueled his enthusiasm for this new project.
