Celebrate Independence Day with Festivities Across Georgia

As the Fourth of July approaches, communities across Georgia are gearing up for vibrant celebrations filled with activities, music, and fireworks. Visitors can enjoy a variety of events designed for all ages, ensuring an exciting Independence Day weekend.

In Loganville, families can kick off their celebrations early at West Walton Park. Beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, the event features activities tailored for kids, food vendors, and live music from a local band. The night will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display following the concert which starts at 7:30 p.m. This free event offers a great opportunity for the community to come together in celebration.

Heading to Stone Mountain, attendees can marvel at the Fantastic Fourth Celebration running nightly from July 4 through July 7. A highlight of this year’s celebration is a stunning drone and light show featuring 250 drones that will create the majestic image of an eagle. As the drones take to the sky, a fireworks show will follow, illuminating the mountain in a spectacular fashion. Park officials recommend arriving early, particularly before 5 p.m. for the best viewing spots. Admission prices range from $5 and up for the show, with $20 for daily parking. For complete access to the drone show and fireworks, adult attraction tickets are priced at $39.99 while kids’ tickets are $36.99.

Lawrenceville will also host its Prelude to the Fourth event on Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. The event will feature food trucks and live music, with a fireworks display to cap off the evening. Admission is free, making it an accessible option for families wanting to celebrate together.

For those participating in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race, fireworks will light up the sky from the Macy’s parking deck at Lenox Square on Thursday at 9:15 p.m. This marks the first time fireworks are included in the race celebrations since 2016. While registered participants and their guests can access a special viewing area, the pyrotechnics will be visible from various locations around Buckhead, making it a citywide celebration.

In Tucker, the Celebration of Independence on Thursday from 6 to 11 p.m. promises a lively atmosphere with music from the Faster Horses and DJ Fernando. Food trucks will line the streets, and a designated kids zone will feature free bounce houses. The night’s festivities will be highlighted by a fireworks display starting at 9:15 p.m., ensuring an enjoyable evening for all attendees.

Peachtree City invites residents to its Fourth of July Celebration beginning with a morning parade at 9 a.m. The parade will travel from Village on the Green to the McIntosh Trail Recreation Complex, while fireworks will follow after dark over beautiful Lake Peachtree.

Lake Acworth will host a spectacular Fourth of July Celebration at Cauble Park, promising to be one of metro Atlanta’s largest fireworks displays. Attendees can enjoy live music and a range of activities for all ages from 4 to 10 p.m. on July 4.

Newnan’s Parade and Fireworks Festival will kick off with a traditional parade at 9 a.m. This festive gathering will continue throughout the day, offering food truck treats and vendor shopping, as well as activities designed for kids in a special Life Zone. Live music will entertain crowds, and a fireworks show will light up the night sky at 9 p.m.

In Roswell, the community can gather for the city’s 4th of July Celebration from 6 to 10 p.m. Designed for family fun, the event will feature various viewing areas across Roswell Area Park, complete with entertainment, live music, and food trucks. The grand fireworks show will begin at sunset, offering a stunning end to the day’s festivities.

Stockbridge will come alive with the 4th of July Extravaganza, headlined by Jagged Edge, alongside performances from Juiicy 2xs and Austin Rogers. The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. with gates opening, leading into an evening of concert performances followed by a fireworks display. Admission is free, inviting the community to share in the celebration.

Alpharetta’s 4th of July Fireworks at Wills Park is a perfect setting for families to enjoy a picnic while waiting for the fireworks display scheduled at 9:15 p.m. Concessions will be available from 5 to 9 p.m., adding to the convenience of the gathering.

Marietta’s 4th in the Park Celebration will run from 10 a.m. until 9:30 p.m., offering an array of activities including a parade, live concerts, and carnival games. The event will culminate in a stunning fireworks finale, inviting families to enjoy a full day of Independence festivities.

Finally, Powder Springs will host a 4th of July Festival featuring live performances from local bands, a kids’ play area, and a nostalgic car cruise-in. Fireworks will light the night sky at 9:30 p.m., wrapping up a day filled with fun and entertainment.
