Attorney Tony Buzbee has filed three new civil lawsuits against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in a move that intensifies the legal woes facing the music mogul.
The lawsuits were submitted in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, coinciding with escalating allegations against Combs.
The first lawsuit represents a 25-year-old professional from New York working in the creative media sector.
She alleges that in 2017, Justin Combs, Diddy’s son, misled her into traveling to Los Angeles with false promises of aiding her in making industry connections.
Once there, she claims she was drugged, trapped, and subjected to repeated sexual assaults by Combs and his associates.
The other two lawsuits come from male victims who assert they were invited to parties hosted by Combs himself.
These individuals allege they were drugged and assaulted during these events.
One accuses Combs directly of assault, while the other alleges that Combs watched and facilitated the assault by encouraging it.
Buzbee expressed his commitment to these cases in an Instagram post, stating, “We look forward to pursuing these cases and stand proud to represent the alleged victims in these matters.”
He went on to differentiate the civil claims from ongoing criminal proceedings against Combs, emphasizing that similarities in facts contribute to their confidence in the civil judicial process.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is currently facing serious federal charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking.
These charges stem from alleged offenses spanning over two decades, culminating in a not guilty plea from Combs.
Federal prosecutors in New York have claimed that the crimes were committed between 2004 and 2024, asserting that Combs orchestrated and filmed sexual acts referred to as ‘freak offs.’
In a significant development just days before the closing arguments were set to begin, prosecutors announced they would not pursue certain allegations related to racketeering, simplifying the overall case for the jury.
This includes dropping theories concerning attempted kidnapping and attempted arson but maintaining that completed acts of kidnapping and arson still serve as valid U.S. federal racketeering charges.
Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani remarked on the prosecutorial strategy to clarify the legal theories presented in court.
Contrary to any misinterpretation, Rahmani noted, “There are no charges being dropped.
The prosecution’s legal theories are essentially the same.”
As the legal matters unfold, Combs remains encumbered by multiple civil lawsuits from other victims who allege sexual assault and abuse.
These ongoing developments showcase a pattern of allegations against Combs that seem to support the claims made by the latest plaintiffs.
Thus, as both civil and criminal proceedings continue, the complexities surrounding the case against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs intensify, drawing significant media attention and public scrutiny.
Buzbee and his team appear poised to continue their pursuit of justice for the alleged victims, underscoring the importance of these allegations within the broader context of ongoing legal challenges faced by Combs.
