LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — As Independence Day approaches, Las Vegas is gearing up to celebrate America’s birthday with a variety of exciting events. Channel 13 has compiled a list of festivities happening across the city on and around July 4th.
The iconic Las Vegas Strip and Fremont Street will serve as hotspots for celebrations.
At Circa Resort & Casino, revelers can enjoy an open bar paired with festive bites and live music starting at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to wear patriotic attire for the occasion. Additionally, the festivities include a hot-dog eating contest at Stadium Swim. Contestants dressed in patriotic swimwear will compete to eat the most hot dogs in five minutes for a chance to win a $2,500 cash prize. This event, titled Weenies and Bikinis, begins at 5 p.m.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will host a screening of Top Gun: Maverick, featuring cocktails and culinary offerings. Doors for the movie screening will open at 6:15 p.m., with the film set to start at 8 p.m.
Marquee Dayclub plans to deliver an exhilarating experience with performances slated for Friday, July 4. Concurrently, Marquee Nightclub will maintain festive nighttime pool parties throughout the Fourth of July weekend.
Over at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, movie screenings will take center stage, with Finding Dory on Thursday, July 3, Top Gun: Maverick on Friday, and Baywatch on Saturday, July 5. Doors will open at 7 p.m. for all showings, and Fontainebleau Rewards members can enjoy waived entry fees.
Fremont Street Experience will kick off Independence Day festivities on the third street stage with a performance by country singer Craig Morgan starting at 9 p.m.
The Luxor Hotel and Casino’s Play Playground will welcome visitors starting Friday, July 4, offering free entry without the need for a Play Pass or ticket purchase until Sunday, July 6.
Resorts World will host Athena at Night, inviting the public to enjoy cocktails at their rooftop venue on Friday, July 4. On Saturday, July 5, Ayu Dayclub will throw a backyard BBQ party featuring DJ Kaskade, alongside a special guest on Sunday. Zouk Nightclub will also host a series of events, with performances by James Hype on Thursday, Nelly for a nighttime pool party on Friday, and Illenium on Saturday.
At The STRAT Hotel, guests can participate in a Fourth of July fireworks viewing party from the indoor and outdoor Observation Deck. The event will feature live DJ entertainment, face painting, party favors, and a hot-dog eating contest starting at 5 p.m.
The MGM Grand Hotel & Casino will host performances at the Palm Tree Beach Club by Kygo and Clapton on Sunday, July 6. Hakkasan Nightclub will have a lineup including ARMNHMR on Thursday, TYGA on Friday, and Lil Jon on Saturday.
At The Venetian Resort, DJ Tiësto will headline at TAO Beach Dayclub on Saturday, July 5, while TAO Nightclub will feature performances by DJ Phenom on Friday and Four Color Zack on Saturday.
ARIA Resort & Casino will showcase talents such as Kalia Troy on Friday and DJ Catwell on Saturday at JEWEL Nightclub, while LIQUID Pool Lounge is set to feature Murphi Kennedy on Saturday, July 5.
Off the Strip, Palms Casino Resort will initiate its fireworks display at 9 p.m. and host a throwback party with DJ Jenna Palmer and DJ Supa James.
Rio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino will engage guests starting July 4 with a two-day partnership with Cowboy Lifestyle Network. The celebrations will consist of daytime pool parties and a country night swim, culminating in a rooftop firework viewing at VooDoo Lounge. Festivities will continue on Saturday, with more poolside activities, a country tribute concert, and late-night entertainment.
The City of Las Vegas invites residents and visitors to a free Fourth of July celebration at Buckskin Basin Park.
The event, titled Blast Off in The Basin, begins at 8 p.m. with aerial displays anticipated around 9:20 p.m., including fireworks and other performances. Attendees can expect live DJ music and performances from the Somerset-SkyPointe Marching Band.
In North Las Vegas, the City will host a July 4th Sparkler Splash pool event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Silver Recreation Center & Pool.
Concert lovers will be pleased to know that Kelly Clarkson is set to perform at The Colosseum on both July 4 and 5. Additionally, The Weeknd will take the stage at Allegiant Stadium on July 4 and 5, while New Kids on the Block will perform at Dolby Live at Park MGM on July 5. For those looking for a night of comedy, Chelsea Handler will be performing at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas.
As the city prepares for an action-packed Independence Day, the diverse lineup of events ensures there’s something for everyone to celebrate America’s birthday.
