New Dining Experiences Launch in Miami This October

Miami’s vibrant culinary scene continues to evolve with an exciting array of new establishments opening their doors this October.

Among the notable newcomers is a wine bar next to Brewing Buddha Cafe & Arthouse, launched by owners Jordan and Cassidy Athos.

This charming venue provides a compact, one-page wine list focused on affordability, offering options in red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines, alongside beer, sake cocktails, sangria, and mocktails.

To complement the drinks, patrons can indulge in an exquisite selection of tapas and charcuterie.

Over in Fort Lauderdale, the sisters Selena, Alexandra, and Talia have drawn inspiration from the island of Mallorca to create Porfa Coffee.

This beautifully decorated shop in blush tones features comfortable seating and serves a delightful range of coffee beverages, including flat whites and ceremonial-grade matcha.

Visitors are highly encouraged to try the Nocilla latte, a delectable blend of chocolate and hazelnut, as well as an assortment of pastries, croissants, focaccia, and quiche.

Sundays are especially sweet with the shop’s freshly baked cinnamon buns.

Chef Yasu Tanaka, known for his work at Sushi Yasu Tanaka in the Design District, has introduced Pari Pari, a 24-seat hand roll bar that offers a relaxed dining atmosphere while maintaining high-quality sushi.

Guests can choose from a la carte sashimi and hand rolls — with an upgrade option of adding caviar — or select from set menus ranging from $23 to $39.

Dessert options include unique French-Japanese fusion pastries, ensuring a delightful finish to the meal.

On the broader culinary front, the Panamanian chain, Nacionsushi, has made its U.S. debut at the Doral Square Shopping Mall.

Known for its XL rolls boasting generous portions of fish and minimal rice, Nacionsushi also offers fried rice, tacos, and a truly unique crispy pizza topped with sushi ingredients on a toasted rice crust.

For pizza lovers, Vice City Pizza has celebrated a permanent move to Cebada Rooftop after earlier success as a summer pop-up in the Bar Bella space.

Famous for its square Detroit-style pizza, crafted with special two-day fermented dough, this venue also features Bar Bella, which has been reimagined into a martini and raw bar, complementing the rooftop’s casual yet sophisticated vibe with light bites and caviar.

For an artistic twist on enjoying beverages with literature, the Café at Books & Books in Coconut Grove provides a cozy atmosphere ideal for reading paired with quality drinks.

While smaller than its Coral Gables counterpart, this locale still offers excellent coffee, bubble tea, snacks, and an adult beverage menu.

The daily happy hour from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. showcases specially priced craft local beers and wines, perfect for unwinding after a long day.

Combining forces, two significant Miami restaurant groups, Ariete Hospitality Group and Graspa Group, have opened Da Angelino Cucina Italiana in Coconut Grove.

The restaurant boasts a menu rich in Italian regional specialties, with both indoor and outdoor patio dining options.

Start your culinary journey with a build-your-own charcuterie board, followed by the impressive cacio e pepe alla ruota served tableside.

Heartier dishes such as a colossal one-and-a-half-pound ribeye for two and a traditional cotoletta alla Milanese are sure to please meat lovers.

Lastly, Hereford Grill, a long-standing Miami favorite for steak, has reopened, inviting diners to enjoy high-quality cuts sourced from Argentina and the U.S.

Local produce complements these exceptional steaks, offering a fresh dining option for both residents and visitors alike.
