A 36-year-old woman, Milagro Solis Portillo, has raised alarms among advocates following her transfer from Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital to an undisclosed facility in Anaheim.
Portillo had been hospitalized since sustaining injuries during a July 3 immigration detention action in Sherman Oaks.
According to her advocates, she was forcibly removed from the hospital early Friday morning by three plain-clothed individuals who appeared to be federal agents and presented what seemed to be a federal warrant.
Despite urgent pleas from Portillo’s medical team, who insisted she was not stable enough for discharge, she was taken out of the hospital against their recommendations.
