Big B’s Texas BBQ Set to Open New Location in Las Vegas

Big B’s Texas BBQ is making a significant leap forward as it prepares to open a new restaurant on West Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas on July 23, 2024.

The move comes after closing its South Fort Apache Road location in May, with the hope of providing a more expansive dining experience for customers.

With approximately 5,500 square feet of space, the new location features an open floor plan, a bar, and ample parking, fulfilling the need for a larger venue.

Originally scheduled for a September 2024 debut, the opening was delayed due to construction and permitting issues, common hurdles in the restaurant industry.

However, after recent inspections have been completed successfully, excitement is building as the opening date approaches.

Natalia Badzjo, who co-owns Big B’s with her husband, Brian Buechner, expressed gratitude toward their loyal customers.

“We want to thank all of our amazing customers for sticking with us and being so patient while we got this location ready,” Badzjo stated.

The new restaurant is designed with a neo-rustic aesthetic, incorporating elements like corrugated tin wainscoting, knotted fence-board paneling, and communal wooden picnic tables.

An orange neon sign featuring a longhorn skull and another with a galloping pig encouraging patrons to “Put Some South in Your Mouth” adds character to the space.

The menu at the new location promises to mirror the offerings from the Henderson restaurant.

Diners can expect to find brisket and tri-tip served by the half-pound or pound, alongside baby back ribs, pulled pork, smoked turkey, and chicken, available in portions of two, four, or six pieces.

Hot links will be sold individually, while a range of sides, including fried okra, French fries, and barbecue beans, will complement the meals.

Additionally, customers can build combination plates featuring their choice of meats or a brisket burger alongside two sides of their liking.

The introduction of a bar marks a new venture for Big B’s, featuring bar bites such as wings, sliders, and tacos with brisket or pulled pork.

The original Big B’s location opened in 2016 on Saint Rose Parkway in Henderson, where it remains operational.

The restaurant earned a reputation for its authentic Texas barbecue, skillfully creating flavors by using mesquite wood sourced from south Texas, a key element in achieving the authentic smoke profile for brisket and other smoked meats.

The establishment garnered acclaim from local food critics, including Heidi Knapp Rinella, who praised its meticulous approach to brisket preparation back in 2016.

She referred to brisket as an ‘acid test’ for barbecue restaurants claiming Texas roots, commending Big B’s for its thick, flavorful slices that maintain a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness.

Following the Henderson opening, Big B’s expanded its reach with a second location on South Fort Apache Road in 2019.

After five successful years at that site, the decision to relocate to West Sahara Avenue was made to accommodate a growing customer base.
