As summer fades and fall approaches, Houston is gearing up for an exciting culinary event that food enthusiasts eagerly anticipate each year: the Chefs for Farmers festival.
Scheduled for September 27 and 28 at Autry Park, this two-day outdoor food extravaganza promises a remarkable experience for attendees aged 21 and over.
The event will feature a variety of tasting opportunities showcasing the culinary talents of some of Houston’s top chefs, alongside drinks and cocktails from various wineries, breweries, and distilleries across the nation.
One of the highlights of the festival is the unlimited food and drink offerings, allowing guests to savor a diverse array of delectable bites without worry.
However, given the abundance of choices, pacing oneself becomes essential to fully enjoy the festival while staying hydrated in the warm weather.
Chefs for Farmers not only displays the creativity of Texas chefs but also celebrates the agricultural community that supplies the fresh ingredients.
For those with VIP tickets, festivities will begin at 1 p.m., while general admission attendees will be welcomed at 2 p.m. Both categories will enjoy the event until 5 p.m. each day.
In addition to the vast food sampling, the festival will also feature music, dancing, and a dedicated area for rosé wine, known as The Rose Ranch.
New this year is the Tailgate Experience, which will offer games, beer pairings, and a Rodeo-themed area, adding to the fun and vibrant atmosphere of the festival.
Guests can look forward to tasting dishes prepared by renowned chefs such as Drake Leonards of Eunice, Adam Vero and Troy Guard from Guard and Grace, and many others.
Some other noteworthy chefs include Marcos Juarez (Hidden Omakase), Evelyn Garcia and Henry Lu (JUN), along with Travis McShane and Ray Melendi (Ostia).
The lineup also features Gabriel Guzman (Azumi), Chase Voelz (Azumi), Michael Hoffman (Brasserie 19), and Travis Lenig (Field & Tides) among others.
The anticipation for this culinary fest is palpable, as these skilled chefs strive to present some of the most delicious offerings from the city.
Tickets for Chefs for Farmers are already on sale, and this week marks the final opportunity to purchase tickets at early bird prices.

In addition to being a celebration of food and fun, the Chefs for Farmers festival will serve a charitable cause.

Additionally, leading up to the main festival, Chefs for Farmers will host a special launch dinner presented by BMW, featuring acclaimed chef Aaron Bludorn on September 25.
