Chicago is gearing up for an exciting celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride Month this June, with a plethora of events designed to honor the contributions of LGBTQ+ communities.
Pride Month is a time for everyone to come together, celebrate diversity, and recognize the achievements and cultural impact of LGBTQ+ individuals.
The North and Northwest Side of the city features events geared towards education, celebration, and community bonding.
One highlight is the Men Having Babies Conference, taking place on June 6-7 at the Center on Halsted.
This informative conference focuses on providing insights for gay men who are interested in parenthood, offering seminars on topics such as surrogacy and single fatherhood, with tickets priced at $20 each.
On the same evening, from 7-8 p.m., Wicker Park Lutheran Church is hosting Transcendent Souls, a musical event celebrating trans identity and sound.
This admission-free event offers sensory-friendly accommodations, making it accessible to all.
Later that night, the Newport Theater will showcase RAINBOW: A Pride Show.
This unique burlesque performance, featuring artists representing each color of the rainbow, highlights “Pride in all its glory,” with tickets starting at $23.
As the month progresses, Wrigley Field will kick off a Pride Celebration on June 12 at the Chicago Cubs game.

On June 21, D.S. Tequila will host The Lesbian Social Club’s Pride Fest Takeover, an indoor-outdoor day party featuring dancing and a variety of beverages, with ticket prices ranging from $18-$23.
The Chicago Pride Fest will return for its 24th year on June 21-22, located on Halsted Street.
With various activities including drag performances, dance exhibitions, and live music, attendees are encouraged to make a $20 entry donation.
Continuing the celebration, Back Lot Bash Chicago will take place on June 28-29 at Cheetah Gym Lot.
This event will showcase a full day of music with headliner JoJo Siwa and various local performers, offering tickets for $24 on Saturday, $30 on Sunday, or $46 for a two-day pass.
At the same time, Pride North Chicago will transform the Red Line Morse station into a vibrant dance party featuring live DJs and entertainment, with free admission on June 28-29.
The highlight of the month, the Chicago Pride Parade, is scheduled for June 29, beginning at 11 a.m.
One of the largest parades in the world, this year, the procession will wind through Northalsted, Uptown, Lakeview, and Lincoln Park.
In the Loop, attendees can enjoy unique experiences like Pride Night at the Shedd on June 14, featuring DJ sets and an ocean-themed drag showcase.
Residents can purchase tickets for $20, while non-residents pay $40.
Navy Pier Pride will host a day full of entertainment on June 28, offering free admission for everyone wanting to celebrate by the water.
For those looking to celebrate Black LGBTQ+ Pride, Chicago Black Pride will take place from July 3-6, with the host hotel at the Marriott Downtown.
VIP weekend passes starts at $108.55, ensuring an unforgettable experience for festival-goers.
Down south, on the South Side, the celebrations continue with Tours with Mike offering a Bus Tour capturing the South Side LGBTQ+ history, scheduled for June 7.
From 10 a.m. to noon, participants will explore local neighborhoods significant to the community.
Along with this, Bridging The Divide will happen the same day at the South Asia Institute, featuring discussions centered on art as a healing tool in LGBTQ+ communities, also free to attend.
Later in the month, the Artemis Singers will host a Pride Concert and Dance on June 14 at VanderCook College of Music, celebrating female empowerment.
Tickets are affordable at $25, and children ages 12 and under can attend for free.
Chicago White Sox fans can enjoy a Pride-themed game against the St. Louis Cardinals on June 18, with a complimentary Pride hat included with ticket purchases.
The month culminates with Pride in the Sky at The Promontory on June 29, inviting members of the LGBTQ+ community to enjoy an evening of dancing with various DJs.
This 21+ exclusive event promises to be a colorful finale to the month-long celebrations.
Continuing into July, Pride South Side will take place on July 5 at the DuSable Black History Museum, featuring performances, dancing, and local vendors as a part of Pride continuance.
For youth, the National Museum of Mexican Art will host a Queer Prom on June 27, themed “Gaga Gala,” encouraging participants to dress up and celebrate their unique selves.
