LandDesign Expands Presence in Colorado with New Denver Office

LandDesign, an acclaimed planning and landscape architecture firm, is set to enhance its presence in Colorado by inaugurating a new office in the vibrant RiNo district of Denver.

This strategic expansion signifies nearly ten years of dedicated work in the Front Range and underscores the firm’s long-lasting commitment to the state’s communities.

Brent Martin, PLA, managing partner of the new Denver office, emphasized the firm’s philosophy regarding Colorado, stating, “Colorado isn’t a market you step into; it’s a community you grow with.”

He added, “We’ve been working in the region for years, and this new office makes our expertise more accessible to our clients and partners throughout the Front Range and beyond.”

The leadership team in Denver brings extensive and diverse experience, enabling them to support clients throughout every stage of the planning and design process.

Brent Martin, with a tenure at LandDesign since 1997, has been instrumental in establishing the firm’s national footprint and initiating its operations in the western mountain region.

As the Managing Partner of the Denver office, he offers profound design leadership and a comprehensive perspective, having contributed significantly to virtually every LandDesign office.

His expertise in master planning, combined with a strong focus on program, feasibility, and functionality, has been key to the success of transformative projects like Painted Prairie and Peña Station.

Julie Meenan Eck, PLA, brings over 30 years of Colorado experience to her role as Director in Denver.

As both a planner and a landscape architect, she approaches her projects with a community-centered perspective, perceiving them as opportunities to enrich local environments where people live, work, and play.

Julie’s diverse project portfolio spans sectors like healthcare, parks, and open spaces, as well as commercial and residential developments, guiding these initiatives through all phases from entitlements to construction.

David Brehm, also a Director in Denver, boasts more than 45 years of experience in land planning and landscape architecture.

Having founded Plan West in 1994 and subsequently serving as its owner and president, David relocated the corporate office to Denver’s Arts District on Santa Fe in 2014.

Renowned for his collaborative approach, he strives to engage with neighbors, jurisdictions, and stakeholders, ensuring support for projects, navigating the entitlement process, and achieving the necessary approvals for development.

His meticulous attention to detail has earned him trust from elected officials and community leaders alike.

In addition to his professional contributions, David participates actively in the Santa Fe Business Improvement District Board of Directors, contributing to the development of this prominent art corridor in Denver.

From its new RiNo office, LandDesign’s team of creative planners and landscape architects is poised to confront Colorado’s distinctive development, environmental, and economic challenges.

The firm’s project portfolio encompasses a range of markets, including urban infill, suburban development, retail, hospitality, healthcare, parks, and open spaces, all aimed at creating significant spaces for communities.

Martin concluded by emphasizing the firm’s foundational belief: “Our story has always been shaped by relationships. We grow by teaming up with clients we believe in and communities we care about. This move reflects our investment in Colorado’s future, from Denver to every corner of the state.”
