Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Specs Unveiled Ahead of Launch

The highly anticipated Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is set to make its debut next week, and new information about the device’s specifications has surfaced from a trusted source, WinFuture.

This foldable phone is set to be the first of its kind to carry an IP68 rating, providing robust protection against dust and water.

While other foldable devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 feature an IP48 rating, Honor and Vivo models hold an IP58 rating, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s certification gives it a significant edge for outdoor usage.

In addition to the impressive durability features, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to support PixelSnap accessories, along with offering 15W Qi2 charging.

This suggests that the device is likely equipped with integrated magnets that will complement both accessories and wireless charging capabilities.

Previously, leaker Evan Blass hinted at the move towards Qi2 compliance, although details on integrated magnets were not confirmed.

Powering the device will be a 5,015mAh battery, which supports 30W wired charging via a PPS charger, ensuring efficient power management for users.

One intriguing and somewhat ambiguous spec mentioned in the WinFuture sheet is the 10.8MP 5x telephoto camera.

However, the report also suggests that this camera supports 10x ‘optical’ zoom.

Considering the limitations of a 5x telephoto camera, this may point to a marketing strategy rather than a pure technical capability, leaving some questions regarding its clarity in functionality.

In addition to the telephoto lens, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will feature a 48MP f/1.7 primary camera, a 10.5MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10MP selfie camera on both the inner and outer displays.

These camera specs align with those found in last year’s Pixel foldable lineup, indicating a consistency in Google’s photography offerings.

Under-the-hood power will be provided by the Tensor G5 processor, complemented by a generous 16GB of RAM.

Storage options will vary between 256GB and 1TB, catering to a range of user preferences.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s display is also noteworthy; it will feature an 8-inch foldable screen capable of reaching a remarkable 1,800 nits of HDR brightness, with peak brightness levels hitting 3,000 nits.

Meanwhile, the cover display is pegged to be 6.4 inches, matching the high peak brightness at 3,000 nits, while offering 2,000 nits in HDR.

This signifies an impressive upgrade in brightness levels when compared to its predecessor.

Additional features highlighted include the debut of Android 16, which promises seven years of updates, as well as support for Thread connectivity.

However, it’s worth noting that the phone will not include a charger in the box, a growing trend in the industry.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is anticipated to hit the market on October 9, with an expected starting price of €1,899 in Germany.

This pricing aligns with that of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, suggesting pricing stability across various regions.
