Exciting Dining Updates in Salt Lake City: Flanker Kitchen, Monte, 1833 Craft, and More!

Salt Lake City’s dining scene is heating up with a series of fresh updates from local favorites. Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club has broadened its offerings by adding lunch hours for the first time since opening in the area. The newly launched lunch service runs Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The lunch menu is packed with enticing options such as the 1/2 pound smash burger, a BBQ brisket sandwich, and a loaded Italian grinder, along with salads and house-made sweet treats. For those who prefer the convenience of ordering at home, the menu will soon be available on popular delivery services like Uber Eats and DoorDash.

Additionally, Flanker has refreshed its Sunday brunch menu, now available from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Some new highlighted dishes include Dubai Chocolate Pancakes, Ube & Coconut French Toast, and an Açaí Bowl, promising to deliver a delightful brunch experience.

Meanwhile, the fine dining establishment Monte has rolled out its new Fall Menu, showcasing seasonal dishes that embrace the rich flavors of autumn. The menu features delightful creations like roasted root vegetables and decadent desserts, designed to capture the essence of the season. Monte invites guests to come in and enjoy these delectable dishes firsthand.

In a unique twist, 1833 Craft, Salt Lake City’s only zero-alcohol cocktail bar, has expanded its hours and is now open on Fridays as well. Co-owner Matthew D. LaPlante shared insights about the bar, which initially started as a Thursdays-only venture. The bar has become a cherished community space where patrons celebrate various life events, from weddings to sober anniversaries. Guests have expressed a desire for more open nights, leading to the addition of Friday service.

The special of the week at 1833 Craft is The Vesper Lynd, a modern interpretation of a classic cocktail, made with zero-proof gin and vodka, a hint of vermouth, lemon peel, and a red pepper garnish. The new fall menu features enticing options including a maplewood-smoked orgeat, a blueberry and saffron euphoric, and a tequila-cinnamon-espresso martini, catering to those looking for a unique and memorable experience.

Cena has introduced a midweek treat with a special three-course menu on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., accompanied by select wine pairings. This weekly offering, crafted by Chef Tobin Torrez, changes each week and includes a chef’s special margherita pizza, an appetizer, and a delectable entrée at a price of $64 per guest, or $32 for food only. This initiative is expected to attract food enthusiasts seeking a delightful dining experience during the week.

For those craving something new, several eateries have launched exciting seasonal dishes that celebrate the Fall season. Bobby’s Burgers, a celebrity-backed brand, has added two autumn-inspired items to their menu: the Wild Mushroom Bacon Burger and the Pumpkin Spice Milkshake. Both offerings will be available until November 30th, featuring melted white American cheese, grilled Angus beef, and sautéed cremini mushrooms topped with red wine BBQ sauce in the burger, along with the sweetness of fall in the shake.

In the Post District, Dangerous Pretel has introduced Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pretzel Bombs, delightful bites featuring chocolate-studded dough with a spiced brown butter glaze. These treats add an exciting new flavor to their menu, embodying the spirit of the season.

Kona Grill in Riverton has also embraced fall by incorporating pumpkin flavors into several dishes. Patrons can now enjoy Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Bisque with seared shrimp, and a festive Pumpkin Spice Margarita, perfectly suited for the season.

Mensho, the Salt Lake City location of the globally renowned ramen chain, is offering special toppings for a limited time. For just $5, guests can add three extra toppings, including Jadori eggs sourced from free-range hens on a traditional Japanese farm, enhancing the ramen experience.

Furthermore, STK in downtown SLC is showcasing its Fall offerings, with new items such as Pumpkin Ravioli with king crab, Pumpkin Pie with candied toppings, and a Pumpkin Bourbon Smash cocktail, ensuring guests have a memorable autumn dining experience.

Urban Sailor is also joining the seasonal celebration with its Pumpkin Pie Latte, along with added flavors of Irish Cream, Amaretto, and Almond, presenting a cozy and warming beverage option for those crisp fall days.

With these intriguing updates and additions, Salt Lake City’s food scene is primed for an exciting season of flavors and culinary experiences. Diners are encouraged to explore these new offerings and make the most of their dining adventures this fall!
