The One Piece universe has officially arrived in Southern California with the grand opening of the One Piece Cafe Los Angeles on Saturday, August 2. Located in the vibrant district of Little Tokyo at 241 S. San Pedro St., this immersive cafe is themed after the beloved anime and manga series created by Eiichiro Oda.
This opening marks the second U.S. cafe for the One Piece brand, following the successful launch in Las Vegas. Over the past two weeks, the cafe had a soft opening, generating excitement among eager fans with early previews of its themed decor, unique food offerings, and limited-edition collectibles.
The official grand opening will entice both new and returning fans with exclusive merchandise as well as a special giveaway for the first 100 guests in line. To celebrate this launch, the first ten guests will receive a One Piece Cafe tote bag filled with $100 worth of One Piece merchandise.
The next 50 lucky guests will also receive a tote bag containing $50 worth of merchandise, while the final 40 guests will receive a complimentary tote bag.
The cafe’s menu is inspired by the Straw Hat crew’s favorite foods, featuring a range of new dishes designed to delight visitors. Notable menu items include Sanji’s “Diable Jambe” Chicken Katsu Sando, which is a spicy chicken katsu sando served on honey milk bread with house-made katsu sauce.
Also on the menu is Sanji’s Beef Yakisoba, featuring savory garlic soy beef with sautéed vegetables and house pickles. Fans can also try Hatchan’s Takoyaki, which includes octopus fritters drizzled with house sauce, bonito flakes, and seaweed.
For those looking for refreshments, Robin’s Flower-Flower Power Refresher offers a unique blend of blueberry lavender lemonade infused with butterfly pea tea.
Sweet treats are abundant at the One Piece Cafe, including assorted artisan donuts inspired by characters from the series. Highlights include the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit Delight, topped with ube icing and a vanilla cake topper, Luffy’s Passion Punch donut featuring passion fruit, blood orange, and pomegranate flavors, and Zoro’s Gold Mark, which boasts chocolate ganache with matcha crumble.
Exclusive merchandise available only at the Los Angeles location includes character-themed T-shirts, tote bags, drinkware, and more. Additionally, fans can find exclusive items such as keychains, plushies, pins, lanyards, and a special “One Piece” puzzle set, available while supplies last.
The One Piece Cafe offers fans not just food and collectibles but also an immersive environment filled with nods to beloved storylines and characters from the series, spanning from the Grand Line to the Thousand Sunny.
