The Back Room at Bally’s, after years of being dark, is set to be revitalized by the Rolling Stones tribute band Sin City Stones and the topless revue ‘X Rocks.’
Renamed the X Rocks Theater, this cozy 125-seat venue is reopening its doors at Horseshoe Las Vegas, marking the first activation since Caesars Entertainment shut it down in May 2021.
Both shows belong to Stabile Productions, a family-run venture known for its entertainment offerings.
‘X Rocks’ will commence performances on August 27th at 9:30 p.m., running Wednesdays through Saturdays.
The show is currently housed in the Imagine Theater at Horseshoe but will make its home at the new location shortly.
Sin City Stones will grace the stage at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Saturdays, beginning on August 28th.
Tickets are set to go on sale this Friday via Ticketmaster.com.
Sin City Stones, a fiery rock band that debuted in the fall of 2023, has previously held performances at venues like Vamp’d Bar & Grill and Chrome at Santa Fe Station, among others.
The band, known for hits like ‘Start Me Up,’ ‘Street Fighting Man,’ and ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,’ is excited about its first residency at the theater.
In contrast, ‘X Rocks’ dives into classic rock with numbers such as ‘Still of the Night’ by Whitesnake and ‘Welcome to My Nightmare’ by Alice Cooper.
This revue previously opened for Metallica at T-Mobile Arena in 2018, showcasing its impressive credentials.
The revival of ‘X Rocks’ follows a paused run at The Back Room due to the pandemic, during which Caesars Entertainment closed multiple small-capacity venues including Cleopatra’s Barge and the Chippendales Theater.
Although some of these venues have reopened, The Back Room had remained dormant and largely forgotten by entertainment insiders.
However, the Stabile family remained focused on this space, eager to bring their shows to light once more.
Co-producer Tiffany Stasi mentions, ‘It wasn’t easy to get this done; it took two years,’ indicating the challenges faced in reopening the venue.
Stabile Productions has maintained a lasting partnership with Caesars Entertainment for more than two decades, beginning with the launch of their flagship show ‘X Burlesque’ at Flamingo in 2002.
Angela Stabile emphasized that these shows breathe ‘new life’ into the resort and represents a continuation of their commitment to innovative entertainment.
In related news, ‘Empire Strips Back’ producer David Foster has recently debuted a new show titled ‘A Nightmare on Strip Street’ in Denver.
This production applies a unique twist to horror-themed performances, contrasting with the ‘Star Wars’ parody that ‘Empire’ encapsulates.
Despite some shows facing a decline in ticket sales this summer, Foster noted that ‘Empire’ has been successful, frequently selling out.
The lineup, including ‘Stormies,’ a life-sized Jabba, and an engaging dance number featuring Chewbacca and Han Solo, serve as highlights of the show.
In local entertainment, Arena headliner Jo Koy was recently spotted at Carrot Top’s show at Luxor, demonstrating his support for fellow performers.
Koy, a big fan of Manny Pacquiao, showcased his admiration by wearing a Pacquiao T-shirt to the prop comic’s show.
For those seeking more live entertainment, the first ‘Battle of the Fans’ is set to kick off at The Usual Place at 100 South Maryland Parkway this Wednesday evening.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. with performances starting at 7:30 p.m.
This tournament-style competition allows fans to vote for their favorite bands, with Vendicion, Purple Card, Superhiro, and Card of Lies slated to compete.
Entry is free for spectators, although a $10 fee is required to vote, with the winning band advancing to future rounds.
Further shows will take place on August 27, September 24, and October 22, leading up to the Grand Final on November 21.
