“The Biden administration put out 70 executive orders exclusively focused on shutting down Alaska, shutting down our resource development economy,” remarked Senator Sullivan, indicating a stark policy reversal with the Trump administration’s commitments.
He pointed out that instead of looking to foreign nations such as Russia for investment in natural resources, the U.S. should focus on its own capabilities. “We have plenty of American investors and our allies who want to invest in Alaska’s natural resources,” he stated. “We’re having a boom here. We don’t need Russian investments. We don’t need Russian money,” Sullivan emphasized, displaying confidence in local investment capacities.
