Denver BrunchFest Celebrates Culinary Creativity with a Splash of Fun

Denver’s vibrant brunch culture takes center stage at the annual Denver BrunchFest, now in its 9th year, which promises to be a delightful extravaganza for food lovers across the city.

Set to take place on Saturday, August 3, at the Tivoli Quad on Auraria Campus, the event will run from 12 to 4 p.m., transforming the location into a brunch paradise featuring more than 50 local restaurants.

With an all-inclusive ticket, attendees will have access to a diverse array of culinary samples, bottomless mimosas, handcrafted mocktails, and other tantalizing beverage options while soaking in the lively brunch atmosphere.

What sets this year’s festival apart is not just the impressive lineup of food but also the vibrant entertainment. Guests can expect a day filled with high-energy performances, live DJ sets, interactive games, and even a standout drag performance hosted by Champagne Tiger.

The event aims to capture the creative and community-driven spirit of Denver’s brunch scene.

As the sole festival of its kind, it showcases a wide variety of local eateries, bakeries, and coffee shops all in one place.

With over 50 vendors participating, attendees can explore unique dishes that highlight the culinary innovation found in the Mile High City.

Lacey Spruce, co-founder of Drink Denver and organizer of Denver BrunchFest, shared insights on the extensive planning that goes into making the event a success.

“It’s a full-on production—months of outreach, coordination and creative planning,” Spruce explained.

Behind the scenes, the preparation involves meticulous organization through spreadsheets, meetings, and site maps, but once the event begins, the atmosphere feels seamless and effortless.

Spruce emphasized that Denver BrunchFest is about more than just food; it shines a light on the talented chefs and restaurants that drive Denver’s culinary landscape.

“It’s a platform for them to showcase their most creative dishes and connect with thousands of engaged food lovers,” she noted.

The festival presents an opportunity for attendees to discover new dining spots, meet chefs, and indulge in flavors they may have never previously encountered, all while fostering a sense of community.

This year, the event’s personality is characterized as fun, bold, and elevated.

Picture sipping a spritz or mimosa, dancing to the rhythm of a DJ, and enjoying gourmet bites prepared by the city’s top chefs—all elements meticulously curated to ensure an unforgettable experience.

The vibe is expected to be lively and inclusive, encapsulating the heart of Denver’s spirited brunch culture.

With 50+ restaurant offerings, bottomless mimosas, a pop-up Bloody Mary bar, and entertaining drag performances, the festival promises fresh experiences for all attendees.

Spruce expressed excitement about the new additions to the event this year. The lineup includes many returning favorites as well as newcomers who are eager to showcase their creativity through brunch offerings.

Particularly notable is the collaboration with Champagne Tiger for the Drag Brunch experience, where guests can expect two shows featuring top local drag entertainers while enjoying innovative bites like duck waffles and jello shots.

“The Real Dill is also making a splash this year with the largest Bloody Mary bar ever, featuring their locally-made mix,” Spruce shared.

DJ Prodigy, known for elevating the party atmosphere, returns to keep guests dancing throughout the event.

In addition to the culinary showcases, new awards categories will be added, allowing even more restaurants to compete for the coveted Golden Whisk Award.

This addition promises to create further excitement and competition among the city’s top eateries.
