Beginning with Ouisie’s Table, located at 3939 San Felipe, diners can indulge in a series of imaginative wild game specials now through November 26. This week’s highlight is the Seared Saltine Crusted Venison Backstrap Chicken Fried Steak priced at $38, served with garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, corn pudding, and peppercorn gravy.

On Wednesday, October 15, The Lymbar at 4201 Main is set to host a special multi-course wine dinner in collaboration with Kirkwood and featuring wines from DAOU Vineyard. The event begins with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by a wine-paired dinner at 6:30 p.m. Guests can expect decadent dishes such as Lobster Ballotine and Braised Short Rib, along with a trio of unique sweet and savory bites, including Sticky Toffee Pudding served with Roquefort blue cheese. Tickets for this exclusive dinner are priced at $110 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.

Lyric Market at 411 Smith will come alive with Fall Events from Wednesday through Friday. Kicking off the lineup on Wednesday is Cocktails for a Cause, featuring a special Happy Hour alongside a Silent Auction benefitting the Lupus Foundation of America – Texas Gulf Coast. Thursday will see a Sip & Bloom Floral Workshop, while Friday hosts the Tastes & Treasures Pop-Up Artisan Market—Halloween Edition.

Thursday, October 19, will witness Brennan’s of Houston at 3300 Smith revive its Dinner & a Show series. The evening will feature live music from P.F. & The Flyers and a three-course Texas-Creole feast. Guests can look forward to an assortment of dishes like Snapping Turtle Soup, Creole Roasted Chicken, or Gulf Shrimp & Grits, capping off the meal with the iconic Bananas Foster for dessert. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and entertainment beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

On Saturday, October 18, a grand opening celebration at The Bell and Crane, 908 Henderson, will take place. This new bar, helmed by Houston beverage industry veteran Ashley Bell, aims to create a nostalgic atmosphere with quality cocktails and ‘90s-inspired snacks. The celebration starts at 7 p.m. with live DJ music and BBQ bites from Henderson & Kane. Kenny & Ziggy’s New York Delicatessen at 1743 Post Oak will also host a special event on Saturday featuring HOPERA’s Divas at the Deli. This one-night dinner event starts at 6:30 p.m. and promises an entertaining buffet replete with East European favorites like Beef Mouton Rothchild, Chicken with Cherry Roman Sauce, and Snapper Isabelle, all accompanied by the deli’s renowned cheesecake. For those looking for weekend activities, the Texas Renaissance Festival is back with its sprawling 1001 Dreams weekend on October 18–19. The festival offers attendees a chance to dive into a world filled with fantasy, food, and festivity. Guests can savor turkey legs and mead while enjoying themed entertainment such as costume contests and live performances. Ticket prices start at $25 for adults and $10 for children ages 5-12, with free admission for children aged four and under.

Simultaneously, Pondicheri at 2800 Kirby will celebrate Diwali with a festive Diwali Thali available from October 18 to October 20. The platter features a variety of dishes such as 7-Vegetable Stew and Rajma Chaat, with prices ranging from $28 for a vegetarian option to $35 for lamb.

Moreover, Pearland Restaurant Weeks offer curated two-course menus throughout October at participating restaurants. With prices set at $20 for breakfast/lunch and $35 for dinner, each meal contributes to donations made by restaurants to the Pearland Neighborhood Center.

Also through October, State Fare Kitchen & Bar celebrates fall with its Saint Arnold Beer Dinner, priced at $55. Diners can enjoy a three-course meal featuring dishes like Cocoa-Chili Braised Short Rib and Brown Butter Pierogi, each paired with seasonal brews from Saint Arnold.

To conclude this week of culinary delights, Caracol at 2200 Post Oak continues its tasting series through November 1. The menu, reflecting the flavors of Tabasco, includes entrees such as robalo a la tabasqueña and grilled pejelagarto, with optional beverage pairings available. This four-course experience is priced at $75 per person, before tax and gratuity.

Additionally, in observance of Día de los Muertos, URBE at 1101 Uptown will offer handmade pan de muerto until November 2, available on Saturdays or as large to-go orders with prior notice.
