Fourth of July Celebrations Across Utah: Festivities for All Ages

As the Fourth of July approaches, communities across the Salt Lake Valley are gearing up for a weekend filled with barbecues, fireworks, and festive parades.

From drone shows to hot air balloon festivals, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, making this weekend a perfect outing for families of all ages.

The celebrations kickoff in Riverton, where from July 2 to 5, Riverton Town Days will be in full swing at Riverton City Park featuring a carnival, vendors, live music, and a variety of events such as a pickleball grand rally, a parade, and a flag ceremony.

Families can also take part in running races, basketball tournaments, and enjoy fireworks to conclude their exciting weekend.

In Provo, the Freedom Festival runs from July 3 to July 4 with a lineup that includes parades, live music, drone shows, and a star-studded fireworks display.

Headlining this event is Rascal Flatts, making it a must-see for those looking to celebrate Independence Day with an unforgettable performance.

The Layton celebration, scheduled for July 3-4, promises a two-day extravaganza at Ellison Park featuring the city’s All-Stars “celebration showcase,” a breakfast, and a special kids’ bike parade.

On top of a city parade, attendees can enjoy live music, food vendors, and a concert at the Kenley Amphitheater, culminating in a spectacular fireworks show.

Kaysville also joins in the fun on July 3-4, where Barnes Park will feature food trucks and outdoor movie screenings.

On July 4, families can enjoy a breakfast, take part in running races, and watch a parade followed by live music and fireworks.

In West Jordan, the Western Stampede will take place from July 3 to 5, incorporating a carnival, rodeo, and evening fireworks alongside food trucks and drone shows to create an engaging atmosphere for all.

Sandy’s festivities on July 4 are kicking off early, with events running from 6:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Families can partake in a flag ceremony, a 5K run, and various kid-friendly activities including crafts and a police K-9 show.

The day will conclude with an evening parade, live music from The Salamanders, and a dazzling fireworks display.

Holladay will host its celebrations on July 4, starting with a breakfast at city hall, priced at $8 for adults and $5 for children.

This will be followed by a bike parade and a concert by Charley Jenkins, culminating in fireworks at 10 p.m.

Salt Lake City will celebrate Independence Day with two distinct events on July 4.

The first will take place at This Is The Place Heritage Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., where a flag ceremony conducted by the Sons of the American Revolution will kickstart the celebrations.

Later in the day, The Gateway will host lively activities from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., including live music, karaoke, and yard games to keep the festive spirit alive.

For sports lovers, South Jordan’s Salt Lake Bees will take on the Tacoma Rainiers at The Ballpark at America First Square on July 4, with a complimentary fireworks show following the game.

Eagle Mountain will round off the day with live music, diverse food options, and a traditional fireworks celebration at Cory Wride Memorial Park from 8 to 10 p.m.

Then on July 5, Heber City will hold its annual paddleboarding festival, featuring live music, food stalls, and exciting paddleboarding races suitable for all ages.

Sandy will also host a free concert by the American West Symphony & Chorus on July 5 at 7:30 p.m., showcasing patriotic tunes and popular favorites.

Salt Lake City will have its follow-up celebrations on July 5 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., ensuring the festive spirit continues through the holiday weekend.
