Ballet West Academy Park City to Relocate to Expanded Facility in 2025

PARK CITY, Utah — Ballet West Academy in Park City is set to relocate to a new, larger facility at 786 Division Street in the Silver Summit area, beginning August 2025.

This expansion comes in response to a remarkable surge in enrollment that has surpassed the capacity of their current location.

Allison DeBona, the Principal of Ballet West Academy Park City, emphasized the growing demand from local families.

“The demand from Park City families has been extraordinary,” said DeBona.

“We’ve reached capacity and need more space to serve our community effectively.

This move allows us to welcome new students and continue providing world-class dance education.”

Classes at the new facility are scheduled to start in August, with an open house planned for August 23.

The academy invites students of all ages and skill levels to join the Ballet West family.

Ballet West Academy Park City is dedicated to delivering a premier performing arts experience to all its dancers.

Under the guidance of DeBona, a retired First Soloist from Ballet West, the Park City campus aligns its curriculum with that of the Salt Lake City campus while appreciating the diverse commitments of community students to sports and other activities.

The academy offers comprehensive training across various dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theatre.

“Park City students are being taught by world-class teachers in each of the genres we offer,” DeBona mentioned.

Families often face numerous choices when selecting extracurricular activities for their children, and DeBona assures them of the value that joining Ballet West Academy brings.

“Our mission is to use our curriculum to shape dancers into being successful in anything they choose to do – not just physical or artistic activities,” she explained.

The skills learned at Ballet West Academy, such as teamwork, respect for others, punctuality, and self-advocacy, are integral for success beyond dance.

The upcoming relocation also marks a significant transition for Park City’s dance community.

Ballet West Academy will take over the long-standing establishment of Dance Tech Studios, which has served the community since 1995.

Dance Tech Studios, known for its National Award-Winning Dance Program, has been a cornerstone of Park City’s performing arts for 30 years.

With a commitment to providing a complete dance training experience, Dance Tech Studios has successfully trained thousands of dancers in a nurturing, family-oriented environment.

Their state-of-the-art facility, spanning 15,000 square feet, includes four extra-large, spring-floored dance studios designed by the owners themselves.

The Ballet West Academy Park City now looks forward to continuing this tradition of excellence and welcomes both new and existing families to their expanded facility.
