Exciting Summer Events and Programs in Colorado for 2025

As summer approaches, a variety of events and programs are set to provide entertainment and activities for all ages across Colorado this year.

Planet Fitness is once again rolling out its High School Summer Pass program, ensuring that teens aged 14 to 19 can stay active without financial barriers. The program allows youths to work out for free at any Planet Fitness location across the country, including 25 clubs in the Denver metro area. The initiative runs from June 1 to August 31, and while teens under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign up, they can work out independently once registered.

Moving to community events, the City of Glendale will host free Movie Nights at Infinity Park this summer. Two options will be available for movie enthusiasts: Monday Movie Madness and Friday Night Flicks. These events will feature a selection of films suitable for families as well as more mature audiences. The festivities begin on June 6 with the screening of ‘Road House’ followed by ‘Shrek’ on June 16 for Monday Movie Madness. Additionally, a special screening of ‘Armageddon’ will take place on July 2 to celebrate the Fourth of July.

On June 6, Arapahoe County will invite families to its free Public Works Play Date at Dove Valley Regional Park. This engaging event allows children and adults alike to explore the behind-the-scenes work of the Public Works Department, which includes activities like driving big vehicles, learning about crosswalk safety, and participating in other hands-on activities that demonstrate community service.

Car enthusiasts will want to mark their calendars for June 8 when the Colorado Concours d’Elegance & Exotic Sports Car Show showcases over 300 exceptional vehicles at Arapahoe Community College. From classic collectibles to the latest exotic cars from renowned brands, the event promises something for every car lover. Tickets are reasonably priced at $10 for adults, while children 12 and younger and first responders with ID can enter for free.

For those shopping at Natural Grocers, the grocery chain is offering a special giveaway from June 6 to 8: a free reusable bag with any purchase. On Father’s Day, June 15, shoppers can also receive a complimentary snack, making it a perfect time for families to visit the store.

In celebration of National Donut Day on June 6, donut lovers can indulge in various promotions from popular donut shops across Denver. LaMars will offer a free glazed donut, while Dunkin’ invites customers to enjoy a free donut with the purchase of a beverage. Krispy Kreme offers one free donut of choice with no purchase necessary, and Voodoo Doughnut has a creative deal of 12 Pink Raised Glazed Doughnuts for just $10.

Five Below is set to open its 31st store in Colorado on June 6 in Centennial, equipped with hot deals intended for affordability. To celebrate, the store will hold games, trivia, and a free hot dog event on June 7. Additionally, customers can receive free drawstring bags as a part of the grand opening weekend festivities.

The Denver Chalk Art Festival on June 7 and 8 promises a vibrant display where artists will turn pavement into colorful masterpieces. This free event will feature artists of all skill levels creating art in real-time, along with food vendors and live music. Kids will also have the opportunity to express their creativity in a designated area.

Also returning this summer is Regal Cinemas’ Summer Movie Express, set to begin on June 10. The series offers affordable movie outings with two family-friendly films showing each Tuesday and Wednesday at participating locations. At just $1 per ticket, this is an excellent deal for families looking for summer entertainment.

Dog lovers should not miss the Aspen Grove Mutt Market on June 28, dedicated to our furry companions. The event will feature pet-focused vendors, food trucks, games, and even a bubble foam zone, guaranteeing a fun-filled evening for families and their pets.

Finally, from June 6 to 8, the Greek Festival will highlight Greek culture with music, dance, and a variety of delicious traditional foods. Held on the grounds of Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of Greek heritage, complete with a boutique selling unique items.

As summer unfolds in Colorado, these diverse events and programs are creating opportunities for families and individuals to get involved, be entertained, and make lasting memories. Whether it’s working out at Planet Fitness, enjoying a family movie night, or celebrating cultural traditions, there’s something for everyone this summer.
