Sunny Skies and Warm Temperatures Expected Across New England

Residents of Greater Boston and the surrounding areas can look forward to a delightful weather forecast as temperatures are predicted to climb into the 80s under partly to mostly sunny skies.

With the commute starting in the low 60s, the day promises to warm up significantly, fueled by a southerly flow picking up throughout the day.

Across most of New England, high temperatures will be similar, making for a pleasant late spring day.

As night falls, partly to mostly cloudy skies will remain, with a slight chance of a sprinkle as temperatures dip back to the low 60s.

The forecast for Thursday marks a change in the weather pattern, as a stretch of high pressure that has been holding cooler air will begin to move offshore.

For Boston and much of New England, a dry day is expected under a mix of sun and clouds.

However, a cold front is anticipated to bring scattered showers and thunderstorms late in the day, predominantly after sunset when residents are likely to be home for the evening.

Rainfall is expected in the Berkshires and parts of Northern New England, but most of the showers should diminish as they approach Greater Boston, with only a few sprinkles possible overnight.

As the high pressure drifts eastward, a southerly wind flow will become more prominent, increasing throughout the day.

Thursday afternoon could see a bit of a breeze, with wind speeds ranging between 10 and 15 miles per hour.

Despite this change to a southerly flow, an increase in dew points will not be particularly dramatic on Thursday.

Friday, however, will show a noticeable rise in moisture, with dew points expected to reach the mid-60s.

The front responsible for Thursday night’s showers will continue pushing eastward on Friday, leading to scattered showers during the morning hours.

However, the dry pocket of high pressure just offshore aims to limit the moisture, making these showers more isolated rather than widespread.

As a result, Greater Boston may only experience a light sprinkle or brief shower throughout the day on Friday.

The best chance of rain is expected to arrive on Saturday, bringing a greater likelihood of wet weather to the region.

For those in Greater Boston, the forecast suggests a mix of sun and clouds with highs nearing 80 degrees.

A gentle breeze is expected to develop in the afternoon with wind speeds around 10 to 15 mph, along with a slight chance of a late-day shower.

Southeastern Massachusetts will experience partly sunny skies in the morning, gradually turning more overcast by afternoon with highs in the upper 70s.

A slight breeze will complement the day, with a low chance of an overnight shower.

In Central and Western Massachusetts, expect a mix of sun and clouds, with highs approaching 80, while the Berkshires will see mid-70s.

Isolated showers are possible late afternoon and evening as they diminish through Worcester during the night.

Cape Cod and the Islands will have a partly sunny day shifting to mostly cloudy conditions, with temperatures reaching the low to mid-70s and a breeze of about 15 mph.

Rhode Island residents can anticipate a mix of sun and clouds, high temperatures in the mid-70s, and a developing breeze at 10 to 15 mph, with a chance of spot showers late.

New Hampshire will see partly sunny skies with highs getting into the upper 70s and low 80s, along with possible light showers later at night.

In Vermont and Maine, expect increasing clouds and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s, with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible in the evening.

Maine is forecasted to experience more sun than clouds, with a sprinkle potentially arriving late in the day.
