Condé Nast Traveler Unveils 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards: Boston Hotels Shine

Condé Nast Traveler has announced its 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards, highlighting outstanding hotels across the globe. Featured prominently in the rankings are three Boston hotels: Hotel AKA Boston Common, Hyatt Regency Boston, and the InterContinental Boston, which collectively secured positions in the top 50 hotels worldwide.

Standing out among Boston’s offerings is the White Barn Inn in Kennebunkport, Maine, which was ranked the 17th best hotel in the world. This remarkable establishment has garnered recognition in the Readers’ Choice Awards for six consecutive years, maintaining its title as the best hotel in New England.

The release, which took place on Tuesday, surveys a wide variety of categories, including Best Airport and Top Resorts in Europe. With participation from over 750,000 voters, the poll reflects the preferences of travelers worldwide.

In the hotel segment, White Barn Inn was praised for its seamless experience, prompting the magazine’s editors to express that visitors often leave wondering, “why all of life can’t be this seamless.”

The InterContinental Boston followed closely at No. 24 worldwide. The hotel received accolades for its newly renovated rooms and spectacular views, crafted to offer an inviting environment for guests—described as having “barely a bad view from this property.”

Taking the 26th spot on the national list, the Hyatt Regency Boston was acknowledged for its prime location near the Theater District and Chinatown, along with mentions of its recently updated accommodations. The hotel’s versatility was highlighted, catering to both pet-friendly needs and luxury preferences with suites that include balconies.

Another noteworthy inclusion from Boston is the Hotel AKA Boston Common, which rests at No. 41 on the global list. Formerly known as Nine Zero, this hotel was commended for providing stunning views and a comfortable, home-like atmosphere.

Despite the success of Boston’s hotels, the city did not make it onto the list of best cities in the United States, with Chicago taking the top honor.

In airport rankings, T.F. Green International in Providence was named the ninth-best airport in the country, often recognized as a budget-friendly alternative to Logan Airport.

On the airline front, Delta earned the award for the best airline in the United States, while JetBlue secured the second spot, both establishing Boston as a significant hub.

Additionally, the luxurious Twin Farms, situated in Barnard, Vermont, was recognized as the 47th best resort globally, surpassing notable competition like the Four Seasons Koh Samui, the filming location for the latest season of “The White Lotus.” This boutique resort was described as the ideal escape for those longing to unwind amid nature, surrounded by maple and pine trees.

The Readers’ Choice Awards offered insight into the top-rated hotels specifically in the Northeast region. Leading the list was the White Barn Inn, followed closely by other notable mentions including the Watch Hill Inn in Westerly, Rhode Island and The Chanler at Cliff Walk in Newport, Rhode Island.

In Massachusetts, the following hotels earned recognition from readers:
