To kick off this culinary journey, Uchi and Uchiko are celebrating both National Fried Chicken Day and National Caviar Day with a unique offering. Available from July 6 to July 18, diners can indulge in the decadent ‘Karaage + Caviar’ special. This dish pairs crispy Chicken Karaage with brown butter, maple, crème fraîche, chives, and a full ounce of Paddlefish Caviar from The Caviar Co. for just $48. In addition, patrons can enjoy half-off glasses of house Champagne during happy hour.

Midweek will see quite an event at JŪN on July 9, where Chef Evelyn Garcia and Chef Henry Lu, both of whom are known for their appearances on Top Chef, are collaborating with Paula Endara from Season 22 for a special four-course dining experience. Guests can secure a reservation for $110 per person, with an optional wine pairing available for an additional $55.

Wine lovers should mark their calendars for July 10, when Cocody will host a Tour de France Wine Pairing Dinner. This immersive five-course meal begins at 6:30 p.m. and each course will honor a region from the famed race route, accompanied by thoughtfully curated French wines provided by French Country Wines. Tickets for this unique culinary journey are priced at $120, and space is limited, making reservations a must.

The weekend brings a buzz of charitable endeavors, starting with the Empty Bowls Summer Pop-Up at Saint Arnold Brewery on July 12. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event will feature handmade, donated bowls crafted by local artists, available for $10 and $25, with all proceeds benefiting the Houston Food Bank. Attendees can also watch live pottery demonstrations and enjoy selections from the brewery’s beer garden, where menu purchases will be rounded up to support the cause.

On the same day, Brasserie 19 will host its annual Red, White & Brut Bastille Day Bash from noon until 3 p.m. This lively celebration partners with Veuve Clicquot and Moët Hennessy to offer guests a fantastic afternoon filled with Champagne, rosé, specialty cocktails, and an array of French-inspired bites. Attendees can expect a festive atmosphere complete with large-format bottles, food specials, raffles, and photo opportunities, ensuring a vibrant experience.

As Sunday rolls around on July 13, local establishments will embrace the spirit of 713 Day. Guests can enjoy a special Wagyu Beef Hot Dog paired with fries and a draft beer for just $7.13 at Bayou & Bottle. Meanwhile, Craft Pita is hosting a uniquely collaborative cookout featuring James Beard Award winner Thomas Bille from Belly of the Beast. This one-day-only event offers local specialties like lamb neck tacos and kibbeh tostadas. The location at 5172 Buffalo Speedway will also have a chance to win tickets to the upcoming Southern Smoke Festival.

Karbach Brewery will further amp up the festivities as they host Houston rap legend Lil’ Flip alongside DJ Marco Torres, who will spin hits throughout the day. The brewery will also feature a variety of local vendors, enticing food options, and a limited-edition 713 Day glassware drop. Admission is free, while food and drinks will be available for purchase, presenting a perfect way to celebrate local culture.

This month, Brennan’s is reviving its beloved deal with the ‘Two Dine for $99’ special, which is available for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Diners can enjoy a robust three-course meal featuring options like Snapping Turtle Soup, Petite Filet Oscar, and delicious desserts such as Bananas Foster. In the realm of sweet treats, Burger Bodega is teaming up with Dessert Gallery for an exclusive shake collaboration throughout July. Customers can savor the dreamy Mom’s Chocolate Cake Shake and Toffee-Licious Cake Shake, inspired by the iconic cakes from Dessert Gallery and available only at Burger Bodega on 4520 Washington.

Lastly, Relish Restaurant & Bar offers a family-style Fried Chicken Supper for four for $95 throughout the month of July. Available for dine-in and to-go, this three-course affair includes a fresh garden salad, eight pieces of crispy fried chicken, and four fluffy biscuits complemented by herb butter and hot honey.
