Exeter, Rhode Island – The United States TrialGP concluded on Monday, July 14, 2025, with Honda Montesa’s Miquel Gelabert displaying impeccable skill to secure a double victory in Trial2, significantly boosting his chances in the championship race.

Gelabert arrived on day two determined to rectify his challenging performance from the opening round. Right from the start, it was clear that he was in fine form.

He opened the competition by tackling the challenging zones, exhibiting remarkable dexterity on his RTL Electric. As the first rider to navigate the sections, Gelabert led strongly, closing his first run with an impressive score of only nine penalty points.

With eight clean sections completed, his effort earned him a valuable 20 points, pushing him further in the overall standings.

The experience from the previous day proved pivotal for Gelabert. He tackled a course that had previously posed challenges, demonstrating growth and adaptability. His consistent performance mirrored that of the morning session, allowing him to add yet another triumph for the day.

This second victory positioned him atop the podium, further securing another 20 points in the overall championship standings.

As a result of Gelabert’s stellar performance, he now trails championship leader Harry Hemingway by only 28 points, setting the stage for an exciting showdown in the season’s final round.

The two competitors are set to clash once more on September 5-7 in the United Kingdom, where the conclusion of the TrialGP season will unfold.

In terms of Race 1 results, Gelabert led the pack with a score of nine points, followed closely by George Hemingway at ten and Harry Hemingway at eleven. The competition remained intense throughout, with other notable performances from Arnau Farre and Billy Green, both finishing with a score of 16 points.

The scoring reflected not only the techniques displayed but also the resilience and strategy each rider embodied on the rugged terrain.

In Race 2, Gelabert continued to impress, achieving a reduced score of seven points, once again crowning him victorious. Farre stood in second with a score of ten, followed by Harry Hemingway and Billy Green, both accumulating 13 points.

This victory solidified Gelabert’s position in the championship as he now gears up for the final showdown in the UK.

The current championship standings show Harry Hemingway in the lead with 373 points, while Gelabert sits in second with 345 points. Despite Gelabert’s successful weekend, he still has work to do to bridge that gap, but his recent performance has reinvigorated his hopes for the title.

Other notable riders, such as Billy Green and Arnau Farre, follow in third and fourth places with 308 and 292 points, respectively. Their consistent performances throughout the season have kept them in contention.
