Nationwide Protests Erupt Against Trump Administration Amid Growing Resistance

On Saturday, protesters across the United States united to express their dissent against the Trump administration, aiming to amplify the increasing resistance to policies perceived as anti-democratic.

Hundreds of rallies and protests were organized in cities nationwide, marking a weekend of significant activism.

In Washington, D.C., hundreds gathered in Lafayette Square, just outside the White House, to raise their voices against various issues, chief among them the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia and proposed funding cuts to education and research.

Michelle Willis, a paraeducator from New Bedford, Massachusetts, traveled to D.C. with her two children to participate in the demonstration.

“We have to speak out, we have to stand up and you have to keep people energized,” Willis stated.

Concerned about issues like education funding and mass deportations, she has attended multiple protests since Trump took office and expressed her determination to continue.

“When I go home, there’s another rally, I think next weekend that I’ll be at,” she affirmed.
