Upcoming Culinary Events Highlight Innovative Dishes and Exquisite Wines

A culinary journey awaits food enthusiasts with a series of exquisite collaboration dinners scheduled this June. The events promise to satisfy palates with a blend of innovative dishes and exceptional wines from renowned chefs and vineyards.

Kicking off the month is the Urban Hill collaboration dinner on June 4th at 6:00 p.m., featuring Chef Nick Zocco and Chef Tyson Peterson of Mar | Muntanya. This seven-course dining experience is priced at $220 per person, with food costing $165 and wine pairings at $55.

Attendees can expect an enticing lineup, beginning with Pintxos such as the Troutxovey Tosta—made with pickled whistling springs trout, grilled sourdough, and chipotle romesco. Other offerings include the Idiazabal Gilda Skewer, Tortilla Española “Nigiri”, and a Rocky Mountain-Style Oyster served with juniper and spruce mignonette.

The culinary adventure continues with a Charred Cucumber Gazpacho featuring day boat peekytoe crab, a refreshing Bluefin Tuna Crudo, and a Vegetable & Sea dish highlighting king crab and smoked espelette butter.

For the meat lovers, the Ocean dish includes Spanish octopus asador served with ramp kimchi, while the Land section features a “Jorge” rib steak paired with a sauce flight.

To end the meal on a sweet note, guests will indulge in Crema Catalana with S’mores Pavlova, crafted with a smokey chocolate truffle and birch syrup, ensuring an unforgettable dining experience.

Next, on June 18th, Rouser will host a special evening focused on Jax Vineyards, located within Asher Adams’ acclaimed restaurant. Aimed at providing an enjoyable and educational experience, guests will be greeted by Chef Emilio Camara’s five-course meal paired with optional wines from the vineyard.

Dan Parrot, representing Jax Vineyards, will enrich the experience with insights into their remarkable wine production. The five-course meal is priced at $180 per guest, and reservations are available on Resy.

Diners will start with Grilled Grapes paired with melted comté cheese, followed by a delightful Tempura Sushi Blossom. The main courses feature a Pheasant Breast accompanied by charred plums and a luscious Wagyu Strip Loin, creating a meat lover’s paradise. To conclude, an Arlette Cookie with sauvignon blanc sorbet rounds out the exquisite menu.

Meanwhile, Sugar House Station is set to host an event on May 31st at 6:00 p.m. with winemaker Chris Butler from Liska Vineyards. This casual gathering will feature a three-course menu priced at $20, highlighting dishes like Birdhouse Fried Chicken Tenders and Santo Taco Birria, paired with two exquisite wines from Liska.

Lastly, on June 12th at 6:00 p.m., Chef JV Hernandez will present the first wine dinner at Bambara, featuring a five-course menu at $150 per person, with an optional wine pairing available. Highlights of the meal include Utah Scone with chicken liver mousse and an Aged Manhattan Beef with potato pave.

With these exceptional events lined up, food lovers and wine enthusiasts can look forward to a month of delectable experiences that celebrate the art of culinary innovation.
