Exciting June Events in Utah: Festivals, Concerts, and Sports to Support Local Communities

As summer arrives, Utah is bustling with an array of events, from vibrant festivals to thrilling concerts and engaging community activities. Local residents and visitors alike have numerous opportunities to support their neighborhoods and enjoy unique cultural experiences throughout June.

Festivals are in full swing this month, starting with Oremfest, running from June 2nd to June 7th in Orem. Following closely is the SoJo Summerfest in South Jordan, also occurring from June 3rd to June 7th.

On June 7th, the Utah Asian Festival takes center stage in Salt Lake City, celebrating the cultural richness of Asian communities. Meanwhile, Springville’s Art City Days will bring art, entertainment, and fun from June 7th to June 14th.

June 11th through June 14th welcomes Saratoga Springs Splash Days, offering a refreshing splash of summer activities. In Logan, the Summerfest Arts Faire, set for June 12th to June 14th, will showcase local talent and artistry.

The Latino Arts Festival takes place from June 13th to June 15th in Park City, and the Scottish Festival in Salt Lake City celebrates heritage from June 13th to June 15th. One of Utah’s most anticipated events, Strawberry Days, will occur in Pleasant Grove from June 14th to June 22nd.

For theater enthusiasts, the famous Utah Shakespeare Festival will kick off on June 16th in Cedar City, continuing until October 4th, delighting audiences with some of the Bard’s best works.

Later in the month, from June 19th to June 22nd, the Utah Arts Festival returns to Salt Lake City, offering an artistic playground for all ages.

Art aficionados can enjoy the Tooele Arts Festival from June 20th to June 22nd, followed by Taylorsville Dayzz, set from June 26th to June 28th. To cap off the month, the Cedar City Final Friday Art Walk will take place on June 27th.

For those interested in local markets, numerous farmers’ markets sprout throughout the month:

Starting June 1st, the Wheeler Sunday Market in Murray and the Park Silly Sunday Market on Historic Main Street in Park City kick off the month, offering fresh produce and local goods.

Every Wednesday, Orem’s Farmers Market and Food Fest at City Center Park will take place, beginning June 4th. Park City also features a farmers market on June 4th, while various cities hold weekly markets.

Sandy, Provo, Ogden, and St. George will host their downtown farmers’ markets on multiple dates throughout June. Additionally, the 9th West Farmers Market in Salt Lake City and the Festival City Farmers Market in Cedar City will be available on select weekends.

Concert lovers have much to look forward to as well, with plenty of performances scheduled across the state.

The month kicks off with Khruangbin at the Ogden Twilight Series on June 1st, followed by Peach Pit and Briston Maroney at the Sandy Amphitheater on June 3rd.

From June 5th to June 8th, Spin Doctors will entertain at the Egyptian Theatre, with additional performances including James Arthur on June 5th and OMD on June 6th.

Hauser will perform at the Sandy Amphitheater on June 7th, alongside Brand New at the Maverik Center.

As June progresses, audiences can anticipate numerous acts including Stick Figure, Earth Wind & Fire, and Barenaked Ladies throughout the month.

Noteworthy performances include Halsey on June 24th and Cody Johnson at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre on June 28th. Other artists like “Weird Al” Yankovic, Modest Mouse, and MJ Live are also slated for shows people won’t want to miss.

Theater productions are another highlight of Utah’s cultural calendar this month.

From June 1st to June 6th, audiences can catch Michael McLean’s “Threads” in Heber City, with several other productions running throughout the month including “Once on this Island Jr.” and “The Odd Couple.”

The popular “Mamma Mia! ABBA-cadabra!” at Desert Star Playhouse and “Finding Neverland” at Hale Center Theatre will charm theatergoers throughout early June, along with the uplifting “Matilda” in St. George.

Productions catered to youth feature “Winnie the Pooh Minis” and several other engaging shows perfect for families. The spotlight on musical theater continues with beloved classics like “Annie,” “Cats,” and “Into the Woods,” ensuring there is something for everyone.

Towards the end of the month, exciting productions such as Disney’s “The Little Mermaid – the Broadway Musical” will be performed at the Ideal Playhouse in Heber City.

Additionally, sports fans can rally behind local teams with several games scheduled in June.

The Utah Royals will face off against Gotham FC on June 13th and Seattle Reign FC on June 21st, highlighting the excitement of women’s soccer in the state.

Meanwhile, Real Salt Lake’s matches against D.C. United on June 14th and LAFC on June 25th are sure to draw enthusiastic crowds.

Baseball enthusiasts can enjoy a series of games from the Salt Lake Bees as they battle the Round Rock Express and Sacramento during the month.
