Las Vegas Set to Host WrestleMania Again in 2026 After Record-Breaking Event

As WrestleMania 41 unfolded at Allegiant Stadium in April, WWE President Nick Khan was already in discussions about a potential return to Las Vegas for professional wrestling’s premier event.

Initially, WrestleMania 42 was slated to occur in New Orleans next year, but Khan’s enthusiasm for the recent event led him to inquire about the feasibility of bringing WrestleMania back to Las Vegas in 2026.

“Nick Khan approached me over the weekend of the event and said, ‘Is there any way that you guys could do this again next year?’” said Steve Hill, President and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor Authority (LVCVA).

He responded positively, noting the collective effort it would take to coordinate the logistics: “Well, I’m sure we can figure it out. It was not an easy process. The whole city was kind of working around this event and rose up and made it happen.”

The logistical challenge involves coordinating a week-long fan fest, WWE World, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, along with three other WWE events at T-Mobile Arena: Friday Night SmackDown, Stand & Deliver, and Monday Night Raw.

Khan’s vision required that all these venues and additional locations for ancillary events be available, which posed significant scheduling complexities.

“The stadium is pretty busy during that time next year so it’s a bit more of a compressed schedule at the stadium,” Hill explained.

Next year’s activities will be notably busier than those this year at the convention center, which necessitated some adjustments in scheduling for various venues, including T-Mobile Arena.

“Those things aren’t easy to do. But this city knows how to come together and make those things happen,” he added.

This year’s WrestleMania at Allegiant Stadium attracted a remarkable two-day attendance of 124,693 fans, setting a new record for ticket sales.

WWE also claimed that this year’s event was the most-watched WrestleMania in history, achieving significant merchandise sales figures.

“Las Vegas helped to deliver the biggest WrestleMania of all time, shattering records and delivering an amazing week for fans around the world,” Khan stated, reflecting on the tremendous success of the event.

Before WrestleMania, officials predicted that the week would generate an economic impact exceeding $200 million and attract roughly 180,000 visitors to Las Vegas.

Hill remarked, “The event itself was fantastic, and I know it exceeded everybody’s expectations. It’s over a five-day period; it’s an extended stay kind of thing. It’s great for the city and obviously turned out great for WrestleMania and WWE as well.”

For this year’s event, the LVCVA entered into a $5 million sponsorship agreement with WWE.

Deposits for priority passes for the next WrestleMania can already be made through WWE’s hospitality partner, On Location, with a preregistration list for tickets launched on Tuesday.

The LVCVA aims to draw the biggest events to Allegiant Stadium, which has recently hosted high-profile competitions.

The Super Bowl took place there in 2024, WrestleMania was just held, and the College Football Playoff Championship game is scheduled for 2027, followed by the men’s college basketball Final Four in 2028.

The LVCVA hopes to establish a rotation of major events in Las Vegas, with WrestleMania being the first to return to the $2 billion stadium that opened nearly five years ago.

Hill also indicated that the Super Bowl might return to Allegiant Stadium as early as 2029.

“The statement it makes about Las Vegas is equally important,” Hill asserted.

“It says in such a big and focused way that when events come here, they’re elevated. They outperform any other place that you could have an event. We’ve talked about that a lot, but to have an event of this stature come back the next year, because of that, it just says so much about the city and broadcasts that so well for us.”
